I had an awesome storytime this morning. We had 34 kids but they were
actually all preschoolers! Usually we run young, but today they were all
ready to sit and listen to stories. I actually made it through FOUR books.
I mean, we did get up and do the Silly Dance Song and a flannel board
activity, but reading FOUR books that had actual stories to them is a very
rare event.

That was my last Preschool program for the next few months. November I will
have our back to back Toddler Time programs, which are exhausting but fun
because you have to amuse the toddlers more with songs and rhymes - they
usually can only make it through one book, two if it's a really good day.

Spent the rest of the day cleaning up my Star Wars program and also trying
to figure out what we are taking to the Annapolis Comic Con event on
Sunday. They were super nice and invited us to go for free, so Andy and I
will be there. If you plan on going, please stop by the table and say
hello! :D

The theme was about being who you are so I read a story called "Ribbit!" about a little pig that appears in the swamp and just says "Ribbit!", which confuses the frogs. Perfect Square, which is about a square who keeps getting torn and ripped but then reconstructs himself into new things. It's Okay to Make Mistakes which is a cute little book telling kids that it's okay, there's always a plus to doing things differently.

...and for the life of me, I cannot remember the other book!!! WTH...brain...ugh

Preschoolers getting through 4 books is huge! Attention spans are not s long with the kidlets sometimes!
