Fraggle Rock is so underrated. I need to watch them all again. So many messages about how to approach life.

I miss Jim Henson. I love that The Muppets are back on the big screen and coming to TV again, but they have never been able to fully capture Jim's heart and soul. It's little moments like this that remind me...

This was my all time favorite show when I was little, my mom likes to say it was the only thing I would sit and watch straight through. I own seasons 1 and 2 on DVD and I've been trying to get my niece into it, but she doesn't really understand the cartoons I grew up watching....except maybe Care Bears lol

....I totally started humming the Fraggle Rock Theme song when I saw this post btw :D

I've got the complete series on DVD (in one of the WORST box designs in history. I had to send it back to Amazon TWICE because the discs fell out during shipping and were scratched. I noticed they don't sell it this way anymore).

Hm, maybe we should do a rewatch together at some point! :)

I love Fraggle Rock, I watched it all the time when I was little. I know that it is beloved by so many people, but I agree that it seems to be very underrated compared to other things.

I love the Muppets, but I agree that there was something about Jim Henson that had a lot of heart and charm when it came to how he did things with them. I've seen some of the behind the scenes with some of things he did and he's so hilarious.

I wonder if it is because the rights were owned by HBO for so long, so it wasn't seen by everyone the way Muppets and Sesame Street were. Didn't get the reruns that helped so many of us find The Muppets when we were kids.

I used to watch Fraggle Rock more than the Muppets when I was a kid. I wish I could remember it, one of the few things I don't for some reason, I need to watch it again. I just remember having so much fun watching it.

I remember watching "Fraggle Rock" when I was a kid. I barely remember it now, but did really like it then.

I remember back in the day when Fraggle Rock was on HBO there was a contest where you named your favorite fraggle, and my brother and I both entered. I didn't win anything, but he got some stickers and a record. To this day I love "Shine On" best, and I wish I still had a file of the version on the record, which didn't have the dialogue in there.

Also I was scared to death of the Terrible Tunnel, the episode for which I only saw once, and LEGITIMATELY THOUGHT MAYBE I DREAMED IT AND IT WAS NOT REAL until I was grown and the dvds came out and IT WAS ON THERE AAAAAAAH OH GOD AAAAAAH.

I love everything Jim Henson ever touched. Have you listened to his biography? LISTEN TO THIS. The narrator does MUPPET VOICES. Also I cried a lot and randomly because he was just an amazing person.

Agreed! I just read a Fraggle grapic novel and it was adorable. I need to buy the box set of DVDs eventually. Fraggles are always awesome.
