This was on my desk today, wrapped up with my name on it! I love being first in queue for kids books LOL.

MLP chapter books are the best, can't wait to read this one! #books #mlp #mylittlepony

I may be far too excited to read this book. I mean, the fact that John "Q" De Lancie is the voice of Discord so I will be hearing his voice in my head as I read amuses me no end.

This series is really good though, especially for a kids chapter book. I think the writing is surprisingly solid, considering the age range.

Right, off to do more librarian work, like making a poster for my Angry Birds program next week.

YEP! They are probably for elementary age readers, I'd say 3rd grade and up. I've read all of the pony ones, just got Discord and I think we have the new Celestia book on-order. They have also published the Daring Dash books. The author does a wonderful job of capturing the show, and I have been impressed by the vocabulary they use.

We also have the comic books, which are a whole other creature and I think the comic books are made for all ages because there are pop culture references in there for the adult fans.

That was probably way more info than you needed LOL. I suppose you won't be surprised to hear I'm doing a My Little Pony program at the library in October!

We have comic books on My little Pony too. Yeah.

haha. It's ok. That's really cool! We should probably do one.

I hope so! We're going to set up cardboard boxes and have the kids fling stuffed toy birds into them and I will tie it into SCIENCE! by talking about basic physics. Can't wait!

My eyes do not like that font. I misread the title as: The Ponyville Players Diarrhea. :P

I'd have to agree! ...though boy is my mind going places. Would My Little Pony diarrhea be as brightly colored as they are?

A lot of kids books actually have pretty solid writing! I enjoy reading Drake's books :)

Yes, I love kids books, though sometimes the TV-spin off novels leave something to be desired. But these actually feel like good reads and not just a cash in on the brand.
