I can't believe I just paid $13 for a SINGLE ticket to see Zoolander 2 tonight. It was $11.25 for the ticket + a random service charge.

But I'm not thinking of it as just a movie, but a Galentine's Day gathering with two awesome ladies.

We're going to a Vietnamese place for dinner called Phubs before the movie. I've only had pho once and I didn't really care for it so I'm not sure if I will give it a second try or maybe have one of the subs. They all look good (then again, it's almost lunch time so EVERYTHING looks good to me right now).

I HAD ONE AND IT WAS SO GOOD!!!!! It was a sweet sesame chicken and it had cucumbers or something crunchy and the bread was perfection. Beckie got the pho bowl and it was impressive but I had made myself ramen the other night and I wanted something more than a broth LOL.

Sounds like a fun night out! Enjoy! Yeah, movie ticket prices have gotten pretty wild. Husband & I have always had really out-of-the-norm schedules (the pro and con of airline life!), so we really embraced the weekday matinee thing! Though we don't get to the movies much these days at all. Unless it's something we REALLY want to see, it's easier to wait and rent it off the Apple TV a couple months later. :)

Yay Galentine's Day!

Yeah, I tend to prefer the Sunday morning showtimes (I always joke that heathens save so much money on movies LOL) and I never go after 5pm. But this was a special occasion because we never get to hang out after work much so totally worth it. :)

It was! And I decided in my mind that I just paid Hollywood back for all the movies I get for free from the library LOL.

Hope you have a lovely Galentine's Day and have fun with your friends.

Let us know how the movie was. My husband and I are thinking of going to the movies on Valentine's Day and are trying to decided between "Zoolander 2" and "The Revenant" (not a very romantic movie, but looks interesting.)

I always have chicken and rice noodles when I eat Vietnamese - so good!

Yeah - going to the movies is so expensive :/ I want to go see How to be Single this weekend (I think I might just bite the bullet and go - I'm long overdue to do something fun!).

That's actually not too bad a price. The place near us is $19 each. :|

Anyway, enjoy your movie/Galentine's Day! :)

The cinema just seems to get more and more expensive these days. Especially when you add in travel and food as well if you buy from there.

I just simply can't afford it. lol

Did you enjoy the movie though? :)

I was just talking to Christian about how I remember when movie tickets were like $9. A regular movie ticket in Oslo right now is like $17 :/ It's ridic.
