iZombie stuff

Yes, the actress from iZombie liked my silly tweet. I really wasn't even trying to get noticed (as you can see, no hashtags) I was just taking a moment to vent while we marathoned the last three episodes of iZombie that were up on Hulu.

Speaking of, I have MANY THOUGHTS (spoilers, obviously!):


I am SO GLAD they finally brought Babineaux in to the group and told him about zombies and it was just that one and done moment, he didn't need to go drink or brood for days. He doubted, he saw the proof, he trusts Liv, he moved on.

I feel like Rob Thomas ships Liv/Major. I like them as friends, but really don't find myself rooting for them as a couple, though I think they work from what we have seen. And I guess we can call it "even" since she lied to him the whole first season and now he has lied to her for a whole season LOL. Mutual deception, it's what TV show relationships are based on! Then again, Rob Thomas also shipped Veronica/Logan and that pissed me off because while Major may have lied about being the Chaos Killer, Logan was just a dick. But I digress.

Ravi <3 <3 I adore Ravi. I think the writers know that HE is the most likable character on the show and enjoy torturing us by torturing him. But, hey, Ravi, it is OKAY for Peyton to hug Blaine after he just saved her life! I mean, if Blaine had saved your life, you might have hugged him? Okay, maybe not. But I guess the issue here is that Blaine doesn't remember being an asshole so should Peyton and Ravi be mean to him for things he doesn't remember doing? If asked, I would probably say I ship Ravi/Peyton. I do like their dynamic and I feel like they work as a couple.

I did feel like the writers were as done with the Max Rager storyline as we were and maybe kinda rushed that ending. I mean, random party at Rager headquarters? How convenient. Also, why did his daughter go feral IMMEDIATELY? Had he never fed her any brains? That part was a little fudged and I had sorta hoped she might come back later as a big bad.

I was DYING over the whole Rob Thomas (singer) thing. I won't lie, I immediately went and found some classic Matchbox 20 songs on Amazon Prime and streamed them while making dinner the next day. I've always liked 'Unwell' and as soon as the zombie that had munched on Thomas' brain started singing, it was stuck in my head.

So I guess next season is going to be THE zombie apocalypse? With an entire mercenary crew infected, it seems like by the time we revisit Seattle, it will be Zombie HQ. If they can pull it off, that would be fantastic. I like shows that take chances and surprise me by taking the whole dynamic of the show and switching it up (Hannibal pulled it off!). Maybe this will help with the whole "brain of the week" problem which tended to wear thin, especially when we had major plot arc to cover.
