PSA: National Donut Day

orangerfulFor those of you in the U.S., Friday, June 3 is national donut day. I know Dunkin Donuts and Krispy Kreme are giving away free donuts. Might want to check any of your favorite local places to see if they have any freebies. Seems to be a pretty widespread event now.

Date: 2016-06-12 02:39 pm (UTC)I work with a bunch of coffee nerds and there is a small cafe right be the library that we try to support and they make some fancy drinks that are pretty tasty. I'm a sucker for whatever their 'drink of the day' is. They just got this crazy "Nitro Coffee" thing which is like coffee out of a beer keg. My friend is addicted to it but I think the bubbles mess with my stomach. It tastes like Guiness and coffee had a baby.

Date: 2016-06-12 03:01 pm (UTC)Never heard of this Nitro Coffee and it scares me that has bubbles in it... I had Nitro Sangria and that was good... It was smoking and looked and tasted great! I'm sure my husband would love a coffee that has some beer elements in it... I'll look it up online!!! :D
How did Florida treated you? We didn't have the best weather down here in Fort Lauderdale... Hope Orlando was better!!! From your pictures it looks like it was gorgeous but I know here we had some pretty amazing days when suddenly, out of nowhere, clouds and crazy heavy rain appeared!

Date: 2016-06-12 03:08 pm (UTC)Tuesday it said RAIN RAIN RAIN in the forecast so I bought Sylvia a poncho and Tim was like "well I guess we don't need sunblock" and it was drizzling when we left but when we got to the park, it was sunny and comfortable. We went back to the hotel and swam in the pool for a bit then headed out for dinner, leaving the poncho and Tim forgot his hat so RAAAAAAAAAIN! It poured. We spent a LOT of time in the Universal Store waiting for it to stop so we could sneak over to the NBC Grill & Brew. haha.
Wednesday was no rain but SO HOT AND HUMID! I missed the rain on Wednesday.
I texted my Mom because we lived in Jacksonville when I was born and she was just like "Yup, that's Florida. We used to be able to tell what time it was in the summer by when the rain started" haha. I swear, visiting Florida always makes me feel like I've been recharged, like how when Superman feels the sunlight his powers grow stronger.
And it was 98 in Maryland today, but no humidity and it is just so different from Florida's heat.
