orangerfulGot home late last night but it was worth it. Had a fantastic weekend with the Smiths. Ate far too much sushi on Friday night while watching "Lost in Translation" (fitting, eh?). Mrs. Smith made me cheesecake too, which was very very yummy. Yesterday we drove to The Point and saw Rockwell Church. AD's brother Al came along which was really cool. He's moving down to Columbia at the end of next month, so we'll be seeing more of him. The boy still hasn't seen the LOTR movies, so I plan on tying him to the couch and propping his eyes open. I'm sure once he sees the first 15 minutes he'll be hooked, it's just getting him to sit!
Anyhoo, Rockwell Church was awesome. Joti had a beard for the early show, which I thought looked really good. But he had the audience vote whether or not he should shave it off for the late show, and people voted to shave. And he did! Crazy stuff. Nathan brought a bunch of guitars since he now lives in Charlottesville. (he used to live in California). First show was very goofy, but Nathan kept forgetting the words, second show, less with the goofy, far stronger on the music front. Always good though. I will probably transfer the shows from my Mini-disc later this week so AD can put them up on Rockwellchurch.org
We stopped by Gamestop on the way to the show cuz I wanted to get Super Mario Advance 4 (which is really Super Mario 3). I still remember every bit of that game. Found myself the first few warp whistles, and got a handful of frog suits. I don't really want to skip any levels the first time thru though, want to get my moneys worth. The water world is rought! Ugh, why do water levels always suck? We also stopped into "Tunes" because I can't go to Medford and not go to Tunes. AD found the new Jump (formerly Jump Little Children) CD for $5 and I found a used copy of Bif Naked's "I Bificus" which I've wanted to hear. It was only $3 so how could I say no?
Dead Like Me season 2 starts TONIGHT! FINALLY! I hope they can keep up the writing. I mean, they've had about a year to get this season finished, so that's plenty of time to re-write!
