I am so sorry. I cast my vote, I tried to believe that good would triumph over ignorance.

That seems foolish of me now.

I just hope the America I know and I love is still here after four years.

I am so sorry. I know you did your best.

I feel like a lot of Americans will be disenchanted with the world, but hang on tight :(

Believing in good is not foolish! How else could you make good happen?
(But otherwise, I don't really know what to say. :c Hugs?)

Your vote counted, bby. It's not your fault.

I know what you're feeling right now, because I feel it too. That state of emptiness that even with your vote it didn't matter, but it did matter. Even if the outcome wasn't what we wanted, the fact that we voted and tried to make a difference mattered. Believing in doing something good wasn't for naught.

I'm torn between wanting to hug everyone and needing to hide under my bed and never come out.

At least we can change it all back again. Just remember where we left everything :-)

Don't blame yourself! You did your part. Best we can hope for now is that he doesn't win a second term.

You're more optimistic than I am. I just hope the Democrats have someone running in four years that can beat him.

I feel the same way. I voted for the first time hoping to make a difference and I feel completely gutted and it feels like a waste. *hugs*

We did make a difference, we let our voice be heard and the race was close enough that our vote did matter. 300,000 isn't much in the grand scheme of things, they all know that the people are divided.

It's not your fault. I went to the polls really thinking that I was going to be part of the voters who elected the first woman president, and I was going to have this really proud moment for having gone with my mom and step-mom. I was still really proud to be able to go and vote with them for this, but I wish it had been enough.

At least you voted. At least I voted. There are lots of people who couldn't be bothered to vote, or if they did they wrote someone's name in...like Harambe, the dead gorilla. :|

You just get the one vote and you did what you could with it.

I'm hoping that in four years everyone is still doing okay!
