Finally!!! It's just embarrassing how long it took me, of all people, to see this!

I thought I was going to get kicked out of my Star Wars Club this weekend when I told them I hadn't seen the movie yet LOL. Rectified that tonight.

I have many thoughts. Some good, some not.

Please link your reaction posts in the comments if you can! I can read them now LOL!

Might try to see Moana this weekend, if time allows. Apparently I'm starting 2017 by watching all the movie I *just* missed in 2016 :P

I don't have a Rogue One reaction post, but I did have Rogue One reactions? I'm happy to discuss with you.

Moana was so good!

I really liked Rogue One, but as a writer, I felt like the movie failed in a lot of ways. I loved the set design and the costumes. It felt gritty and real. I did really like the explanation for the huge plot hole in A New Hope. But I didn't really care that everybody died. I wanted to care, but I just didn't. I don't think the movie did a good enough job building the characters.

Foz Meadows actually sums up my thoughts nicely.

Which plot hole in ANH? Because I felt most of the link to ANH caused more problems than help. I agree with everything in that blog post you linked though. I'm more frustrated now about what this movie could have been, or might have been before the editors attacked it.

The plot hole where there's this really obvious design flaw in the Death Star. It always seemed oddly specific and a little weird.

Huh, guess it never bothered me that much. Just felt like hubris. I mean, if you are building an ultimate weapon and you already rule the galaxy, the idea of a single star pilot getting that close to your mega ship wouldn't really cross your mind. I mean, they kinda hint at that in the briefing.

I still need to see both Rogue One and Moana.

I didn't make a post, I don't think. But here's the basics of my reaction. I'm not nearly the star wars fan that many people are. I do love a good character driven story, so I have a fondness for the original movies, and VII was good. Rogue one was not for me. Besides Alan Tukyk's voice acting as K-2SO. forever love anything that man does.

Alan Tudyk should just be in every movie because he always makes it more fun to watch!!

Go see Moanaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa I mean you CAN Redbox it but the editing of the sea and the waves is so gorgeous it deserves a big screen.

Most people liked it, but it mostly annoyed me, because it was the opposite of what I wanted to see. Here's my post.

Since I didn't do a whole post about it...here's what I wrote --

"I saw Rouge One on Thursday night with Gal.
Did I like it? Yes, very much
Did I think it was the best Star Wars movie ever? No
I'm hearing a lot of people saying they think it was better than The Force Awakens...which I don't agree with.
Also...YOU KNOW THE ENDING IF YOU'VE SEEN A NEW HOPE!!"

Also yes to Moana!! I loved that movie so much! I might try to go again before it's out of theatres.

I didn't do a reaction post because I saw it quite late... But I liked it! I think I liked their choices casting wise and story wise! The only thing I didn't really like was the CGI Leia at the end! They should have spent more time on it! :D

I missed Moana too - I'll probably catch it on Netflix or something.

I haven't seen Rogue One yet, but I've heard a bevy of things, both good and not so good.

I'd love to see Moana, to be honest! With my kid! (To get a break from Frozen... SERIOUSLY!!!) Although they had to change the name here in Sweden, since the name Moana was already taken...

I haven't seen Rouge One either, which is a shame. Hubby is a GIGANTIC Star Wars fan and we'd planned to see it and... then I broke my leg. :-(
