Dark...

I just watched the first two episodes of 'Dark' on Netflix.

It's like Riverdale and Stranger Things had a baby but had to give it up for adoption so it was raised in Germany.

I watched the dub for about 5 minutes before scrambling to figure out how to change the language/caption settings on Netflix. I hate dubs, but they are worse when it is live acting and not anime because I focus so much on people's mouths and I get distracted by things not lining up.

I need to get stuff done around the house today but I really want to sneak in another episode because it is one of those shows where every time it ends you go "WTF!!!!!!!!" and just want to binge it.

Speaking of dark, I feel like I need to go dark from the rest of the Internet now that 'Last Jedi' has officially premiered. Please don't post any image/spoilers from the movie. I've avoided watching any trailers, reading interviews etc. - I don't want to know anything going in. It was such a joy to watch TFA and know nothing so I'm trying to do the same with TLJ. Just five more days!

I can sympathize about spoilers. I won't be seeing the movie until around the 28th. And I went to see Ragnarok in the theater largely because I knew there was no way I could stay unspoiled for it until its DVD release.

I swear people start making GIFs before the movies are even out and just spam everything.

We did watch 'Speechless' tonight and it was about the boys going to see Star Wars and I had to shield my eyes. They didn't give anything away but they were showing stuff in little clips. GAH! I remember when I was a kid I would be foaming at the mouth for any little thing but now with the internet and Disney owning everything, I just have to hide!!

Yes! I don't even know where they're getting all those caps and clips from. I think I saw the first ones about 2 weeks before the movie even opened here.

And yes, it really makes it tough to discuss stuff. Right now I have a tab open for The Crown, which while a lot of people have seen it, I see very little fan discussion of it, or even media discussions. We started watching the day of release but are still several episodes away from completing it, so I don't want to read it yet. But for other stuff by the time I finish something I can no longer remember all the articles and posts I wanted to read...
