Oh, wow, that looks good! I know that our downtown library often serves as a quasi-shelter during the day.

It is definitely a reality of public libraries that most people do not think about, especially in urban libraries where there is a large number of homeless people who just need someplace to get warm or out of the weather and sit. And I know that most librarians have mixed emotions about the whole thing because sometimes homeless people are so unhappy with life in general (or are just mentally unstable due to being homeless) that they take it out on staff so it can be hard to empathize.

That looks really interesting. Is it based on a true story?

It doesn't appear to be, writing credit goes to Emilio and I don't see any "based on a" in any write ups I've found (though the movie doesn't come out until late January so there isn't much to go on). I will be curious once interviews and such start happening to hear what inspired this movie's creation.

Though this doesn't seem too far off from something that could happen, I doubt they would ever send in riot police! Then again...
