I had more to say but I felt odd lumping it in with my little In Memorium post.

SO YES! What have I been doing when I wasn't sick? Work work work LOL. and also...

GAMES!
  • Legend of Zelda: Breathe of the Wild - I'm almost done the main quest for this game, I've found all the Divine Beasts so now I'm just wandering around doing all of the side quests so I can have as much health/stamina/weaponry as possible. And just when I think I've found everything, I hear the little scanner in Link's pocket go off saying a new shrine is right around the corner! This game is so fun! I love me some Zelda. And I am enjoying the SWITCH and the ability to play on the TV and then decide to get into bed for just a few more minutes...(3 hours later).

  • Subnautica - Tim has been obsessed with this game since my brother bought it for him so he told me to try it while he was at work (you can share games on Steam within households, it's a great feature). The game takes place on an alien world and UNDERWATER. So you have to swim around, find food, find clean water, and build things to survive, all the while gathering bits of info about previous ships that have crashed on the planet and putting together a story about what happened and how you can escape. It is really fun, with a bit of that Minecraft build-your-stuff element but enough plot that I want to keep playing to figure it all out! It's only $25 on STEAM and I think it is $20 on Xbox and totally worth it. Tim bought me my own copy for Valentines Day so I can play while he is online haha

  • Cities: Skylines - it was on saaaaaaaale and I am weak. And for some reason I always think I want to play city management games and I am terrible at them but I don't care! I bought this before Valentines Day, impulse buy. I'm SO BAD but I have so much fun laying out the city. What I learned? Don't ask me to plan your city. I will probably make weird traffic patterns and accidentally pollute the water source at some point.

TV!
  • Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency: Season 1 - FINALLY watched this. As a fan of Douglas Adams, I was a little scared to watch something based on his books, but Max Landis captured the weirdness of a Gently story. We watched it so fast, it even inspired Tim to pick up the book and made me want to reread them. Season 2 just air aaaaaaaaaand they just said the show is cancelled. DAMMIT! Oh well, still give it a go if you have Hulu, fantastic cast and ridiculous plot.

  • Atlanta - one episode left of this show, which we started when it was on FX but then the FX app went crazy and we stopped. Now season 1 is up on Hulu. It is an odd show, a very dry kind of comedy like you would expect from Donald Glover. Some moments you laugh out loud and other times you just cringe. But it is oddly compelling and I felt it got better as the season went on.

  • Riverdale - OMG this hot mess of a show, I love you so much. Is anyone else watching this season? I mean, it is ridiculous and over the top and just so painfully aware of itself. I can't wait for the musical episode. It's going to blow my mind, I just know it.

  • My Next Guest Needs No Introduction - David Letterman's new Netflix series is really great. There are only two episodes so far but he sits down with President Obama in the first one and George Clooney in the second. Great conversations, very chill atmosphere. I have an emotional connection to Letterman because my Aunt and I used to watch him together when I was a kid and she passed away several years ago and seeing Letterman on my TV (even though he looks very different now!) gave me flashbacks. So I might be biased to Dave. But if you were thinking of watching, I say go for it.

And I've been working on exercising every day, body and mind! I've got 130 day streak on Duolingo for my Spanish! And I've been alternating between the stationary bike and the rowing machine each day along with some stretching.

I was really excited when I weighed myself this weekend and I had lost 2 lbs...then I realized I weighed myself right before my period started. But before I realized that, I felt very motivated to keep working out so I'm trying to forget that this is probably why.

I was going to type more but...I want to go play Subnautica before bedtime!

I keep thinking I wanna play Legend of Zelda, but I don't think it's available on PC, and I don't want to get a gaming system for one game.

I gained two pounds last week, and I really couldn't figure out why...until yesterday. And then it was like, oh, right, least favorite time of the month.

Glad someone else has seen Dirk Gently! Yeah, it's unfortunate it was cancelled but S1 in particular is worth watching regardless. It was very different and very funny.

Yeah that's odd -- I had no idea it was on Hulu here. I remember I was recommending it to someone who had missed the initial run and it was too late for free On-Demand. I only knew Netflix didn't have it.
