orangerfulUm, so you guys are THE BEST and I almost feel the need to post ever week and ask for ya'll to tell me a joke because it was so fantastic to open up my inbox at work and have random jokes waiting for me LOL.
Still no word on the interview results, guessing I will hear something early next week. I've already decided, no matter what the results, I'm buying myself Forza Horizon 4 as a present for putting myself out there LOL.
My manager is convinced I will get it and is freakin' out about having me teach other staff all the things I do before I go. In her defense, the last time she saw me interview, a year ago, I NAILED it and if I had done that well this Wednesday, then I totally would have the job. But I know in my gut I didn't do as well as a year ago.
But at least this week is DONE. We don't have anything exciting planned for the weekend, just gonna chill I guess. Apparently it is going to rain so that gives me an excuse to stay inside and putter around.
We got a copy of "The Book With No Pictures" in today and it was translated into Spanish (El libro sin dibujos). That book is one of my favorites for school visits, so I picked it up to practice my Spanish reading. Some things were obviously different, like the song that had to rhyme so the lyrics had to change. But what I found really fascinating was that the page that is 100% gibberish was TRANSLATED. Like, they created new nonsense words/sounds that are funnier in Spanish. Not sure if I would be brave enough to read it during a bilingual storytime, I might stick to Elephant and Piggie (or "Elefante y Cerdita")
It was 44 degrees when I left for work this morning and there was a thin coat of ice on my windshield. I was not amused, I said many rude things to that ice. I mean, come on, can we please have a little bit of Fall!
Okay, I'm going to go run around with Geralt for a bit and slay some monsters before bedtime. Toodles!
