Riverdale thoughts - S3E2

orangerfulAnyone else watching/suffering/laughing hysterically at this season of Riverdale?
Here are some initial thoughts on the most recent episode
I googled and either they are being sneaky or there is truly no plan for a Sabrina crossover, but damn it feels like there should be with this ridiculous "Gargoyle King" subplot.
I joked to Sylvia that clearly Ethel was behind it all because it is the same actress from Stranger Things and Sylvia countered with the fact that Riverdale is pretty much the upside down version of the Archie comics.
Also, when Ethel was "possessed" she straight up did the hand motion from Hereditary...
And when Ben fell out the window and said "You'll fly too", I mean, they had to be references It right? You'll float too?
WTF kind of "juvenile detention center" does Riverdale have?? It looks like they were sent to the same set as Castle Rock. Also, why does everything in there look like a set from a 1950s movie? Even "Maddog" had an old antenna TV and record player? LOL this show omg.
All of those Vixens would have had their phones on their person and they would have been live streaming that prison "riot".
But, nestled in between all of this ridiculous, eye-roll inducing stuff, there is this real story about poor Kevin and Moose and being gay in high school. So, right now, that is the thing I am the most invested in. Because, poor Kevin. :(
