At my high school, we had a Fall "Drama" production and a "Spring" musical. Sometimes in the winter they would do a one-act play thing or something small/short but the others were the BIG deals. I'm fuzzy on when auditions and stuff happened, but I'm guessing at least a couple months before the play...like, the musical was probably in late May, so I'm guessing auditions etc. would have been in March?
