Let the shenanigans commence!

orangerfulFirst day was a success! Thank you to everyone who left me positive vibes in the last entry.
It was weird, driving in today, I felt...good. Confident. Like, fuck yeah, I did this, I'm ready for this!
Not cocky, I know I don't know a LOT but I feel like I know I can do this. It was a good feeling.
I got to work and the staff had already prepared my office:
The custodian, Serene (who, oddly enough, I used to work with when I first started at the library), kept asking me if she should clean up the mess and I told her I really wanted to just enjoy it my first day. Plus, my new supervisor was coming to visit so I wanted her to see it too LOL.
The staff is super friendly, I've worked with most of them in different capacities before, so we didn't even really need introductions.
They have a "Staff Recommends" display and they already pulled out a few books for me...
Yeah, they are all about the shenanigans.
There was a big storm this morning and our library system headquarters lost power and our internet is routed through there sooooooo we had no internet for most of the day. Which worked in my favor because we started chatting and no one had email or online stuff to distract them so it let us all bond.
Tomorrow I will be meeting with staff...and also setting up my action figures. :)
I'm taking a little breather from the "Photo Request" list this week while I focus on learning who what where when and why of my job.
