oooooh I'm still alive...
Oct. 10th, 2004 04:51 pmwell, I managed to get my hell week toned down to just a semi-crazy week. Library training went very well. I remember most of the circulation stuff from helping out as a page. Tomorrow and Tuesday will be the info/reference stuff, which I am less familiar with. But I don't think I'll have a problem with it. I'm actually looking forward to starting my on the job training, which I still need to schedule. Unfortunately the Limited has scheduled me for far too many hours in the next two weeks, so I don't know when I'm going to get my OJT done! I think I might tell Andrea I can't work on weekends anymore, just to have some free days in my schedule. That or maybe say Wednesdays only haha. That would be pretty crap though? Maybe Wednesday and Friday mornings only. Cuz all my concerts are on Friday nights. Or Saturday nights. And I want days free so I can go work at the library...yes, this will require some sort of chart to figure out.
Anyhoo, we saw almost all of the Smith family this weekend. Andy, Erin, Hunter, and Claire all flew over from California Saturday. Then George, Kathy, and Nicole showed up. It was pretty crowded in that new place. But as always, food, folks and fun were had. AD has a midterm on Tuesday though, so we left pretty early this morning so he could get home and study. I wish we could have stayed longer, it's always nice to get away. Doc and Susan are coming down in a couple weeks to see a play, and they will be bringing us 2 bookshelves and a wardrobe. So I got two weeks to plan out the star wars toys/books layout for our bedroom and living room. FINALLY something will be in our bedroom. That's probably the least interesting room in our apartment, all it has is a bed and some end tables with lights on them.
Yep, so we've been home since about 1:30ish I guess. AD has been studying and I've been loafing. Watched a little featurette on my Angel DVD while I ate my taquitos lunch. Then I came over here and fiddled with some icons cuz I was in withdrawl. hehe. I used that "girl with the broken" smile quite, because I thought it really worked, even though I've seen it everywhere. I realized I had no idea what it was from, so I googled the line and found out it was a Maroon 5 song...so I'm downloading the tune right now so I can hear it. Here are the two icons I made today (both of them were me trying out tutorials I had put in my memories section):

OH! and I actually won some awards this week too! FIRST PLACE in
hp_hush for this
and third place in
potc_hush for this
I was very fond of the harry potter icon, but I didn't think i would actually win first place! I was checking my friends page in NJ and when I saw that I jumped out of my chair and ran around haha. Everyone thought I was nuts. But it's okay, I'm used to it.
*sigh* talk about a lazy sunday, I have absolutely no motivation to do anything right now. Ah well.
