orangerfulUgh, I was doing so well today. I babysat and did some more training at the library. I had a big bowl of mac&cheese for lunch at around 2ish and I thought I could make it to 8 without eating. Oh, I was so wrong. About 6:30 I get this horrendous headache. Then I get home and think I can just chug a cherry pepsi and get the caffiene/sugar, which usually makes me headaches go away. Instead, it upsets my stomach even more. So I just lied on the couch until about 11, carefullly eating my dinner because even though my tummy was upset, I was still really hungry. *sigh* I am going to bed right after this because I feel very very drained.

losticons. Posted 8 icons there yesterday that I'm pretty proud of. I love that show. Every week it just keeps getting better and better. I didn't even watch Smallville last night, we just went straight for LOST. And, no offense to Clarky, but I don't even think I'm going to bother downloading the Smallville I missed. We flipped over to WB during a commercial break and it was the same old speech between Clark and Mr Kent "Oh Clark your powers blah blah blah" "Oh Dad, I have to make my own choices blah blah blah" "ah shucks, you sound just like I did when I was in high school blah blah blah" "Didn't we have this exact same bit of dialogue last week dad?" "Hm...good question Clark, I'd ask Chloe but she's crying in the corner again."
Alex gave me a free pass to go see Polar Express on Saturday. I don't know what time the shows are and I'm working until 6 anywayz. I feel bad wasting it though. Maybe I should take it to work with me and see if one of the other girls wants it. Honestly, the animation just weirds me out.
Jon Stewart was till bummed out on Daily Show tonight. Heck, I'm still bummed out. I just hope that some of the forests in Alaska are still around after these next 4 years. Monica said she read that Bush was part of some conservative relgious group that believes that Armageddon is coming soon and that we should use the earth's resources as we see fit. Now, that sounds a bit like propaganda to me, but the more I hear Bush talk, the more I wonder what the hell he is thinking. Obviously not much. I'm just staying in the blue states forever. FOREVER. That is, until I move to Australia.
Oh, I had my first day of information desk training today - which was very interesting as the libraries catalog was down. Yes, people had to ask me questions and I had to pretty much guess where their books might be. One kid had an easy one, the classic social studies assignment from elementary school where you have to look up all those random spanish explorers. You know, De Gama, Cortes, Balboa....well he has one that he had written down as Verran Zano. I typed it into the Biography Resource Center and nothing came up. Then he got his text book, and the index spelled it "Verranzano" so I typed it in again, nothing. Then we turn to the actual page that the index indicated, and on that page it was spelled "Verrazano". That came up fine. That was probably the most amusing event of the evening. I get to go back next Wednesday and Thursday. Hopefully the catalog will be functioning by then cuz it's silly for us to have to guess.
Okay, bedtime, sleep now I must. Limited tomorrow. But not a super long shift...11:30-4:30....though I do have extended shift hours...but if all goes well, I probably won't have to use them. *crosses fingers* g'night folks.
