I'm perfect on paper
Nov. 6th, 2004 12:11 ambut I'm slowly fading
What a weird day. I actually woke up feeling pretty refreshed, ate the last of the FrankenBerry cereal and went to work in this crazy wind. Blustery, yes that would be how you would have to describe today's weather. Anyhoo, things started to get sketchy as I approached the mall. There were many signs warning me that maybe I should turn back. The big one was that my mix CD, one that I had made a couple of nights ago and had turned out perfect until that point, had a dud song on it. Note to self - never burn an mp3 when it's not quite done downloading. Anyhoo, psychohosebeast, also known as Janet, was at the Limited today, doing whatever the hell it is she does. I do not like her. The way she talks to people is very....grrr, I have lost my grasp of the english language today...demeaning? She talks down to everyone. And I felt like she was bullying me today, forcing me to use her stupid voice recorder to do the re-stock of the star trek sweaters. She has no sense of humor and I do not deal well with people like that. I was so ready to have a throw down with her. I wanted her to come up to me later and try to lecture me on "replenishing" so I could go off on her. I was in that kinda mood. On top of that, I fucked up some poor lady's hold. I put the tube top on hold and she wanted the halter and she drove down from Columbia to get it and yadda yadda. So by about 2pm, I was a frazzled mess. I took my break at 3 and wandered into Hechts, cuz I had a gift card there and I wanted to see if they had any nice pants or comfy shoes I could get, as my dress shoes at the moment consist of black sandals and my black shoes that I wear every other day. I need shoes for the library. Anyhoo, the first two pair I tried on they didn't have my size, then I tried on these little red boots and they fit so I bought them. Now I'm wondering if I should have cuz it sounds like there might be rules to when I can wear them, and we all know I suck at fashion. So I ask you, my LJ reading peeps, - these boots are a dark red and ankle high, with a small heel (cuz that's all I can handle). Can I wear these with knee-length skirts? Do I have to have red on to wear the boots? Should I just take them back and beg the people to call around and find the loafers I liked. Or should I just admit that it was retail therapy and embrace it. I mean, technically they were free, as I used my gift card to pay for them. *le sigh* I do not know.
yeah, so I didn't get home until 8:30. but AD had already ordered the Chinese food and I got to watch a Buffy episode, so I was feeling good. The whole shoe thing is bugging me though. I really liked those red loafers. Hm...and stupid Hechts doesn't sell their shoes online like EVERY OTHER STORE.
Rufus Wainwright's new album comes out on the 16th!!! I wrote an insanely long letter to Alex about it, so hopefully he'll have the CD when it comes out. AD says he's not sure if he can wait.
Um...so my brain has now shut down for the evening. G'night folks
