Yes, I have a note!
Nov. 26th, 2004 04:43 pmWell, I thought i had a scratch on the inside of my ear. Turns out, I have a middle ear infection. Yuck-o. So I have been in pain for 3 days now. We went to a doctor this morning and he gave me some antibiotics which have made my tummy quite upset. And they don't actually have pain killers in them, so I hd to take ibprophen on top of that. Plus some ear drops. I was supposed to work 1-9 but I called in. Andrea asked me to come in at 6, which I think I can do, as long as I don't hurl any time soon. My ear still hurts like a bitch though. I think I've built pu an immunity to advil. Before we went to the doctor, we had some pain killing eardrops and those worked really well if I stayed horizontal. Selling clothes means i have to be vertical. So I get to have this stabbin pain in my ear and talk to people foolish enough to shop today. Yeesh. I didn't get much sleep at all because of the stupid ear ache. Last night, I slept with the advil and ear drops beside me, but woke up in intervals to re-medicate, so I slept, just not straight thru. Night before I just slept crappy cuz I didn't know what was wrong with me.
*sigh* and on top of alllll that, i have to call my doctors office because apparently my insurance doesn't understand that I was out of town, so I have to call and have them doctor call the insurance people and say "yes it was okay for her to see another doctor"....it's ridiculous.
And after all that my ear still hurts. AD said I look a bit wobbly. I can't really tell right now as I'm sitting down. He wasn't sure if I should drive. I think I'm okay, I'm just really tired. Maybe I should just go to The Limited and work a couple hours so they don't get pissed that i missed black friday. Honestly, I would rather have been there than have this pain. I fell asleep with the eardrop in my ear, and it acted as both a painkiller and ear plug and I slept soooo soundly, when the alarm went off, I felt great, thought I was cured, hopped in the shower, and felt the eardrops run down the side of my face and slowly the pain came back. I even took advil and it didnt' go away. Grrrr Argh.
Otherwise, great Thanksgiving with lots of food, folks and fun. At least I can have a turkey sandwich for dinner when I get back.

Date: 2004-11-26 08:11 pm (UTC)Hope you feel better soon! I was supposed to see Jim tonight, but I've had a headache for 3 days and I'm getting worried about this presentation I'm supposed to do in class on Weds, which I haven't really started working on, so I came home early. Good Thanksgiving though. Except I broke my brother's garbage disposal. And at my parent's house, which is out in the woods, there was some critter scrambling around in the room where I was sleeping. Mice? Bats? A squirrel? I didn't wait around to find out- I got out of there and into another room fast. I'm so glad to be back in the city tonight. No critters here!
