orangerfulWell, I ripped most of the tracks for my 2004 mix. I say "most of" because I'm at least 10 minutes short, which is 2 more songs. But, I also padded out 5 minutes with the theme from the new Harry Potter movie, which I really didn't want to do. *sigh*. This year was not that great for music, at least for me. I didn't snag as many albums as I usually do. So far, I have 2 live tracks on the mix, and far too many cuts off the Garden State soundtrack, which I'd like to cut back on. I wanted to put one fo the U2 tracks on the mix, but the only song I've heard is "Vertigo" and I'm afraid that's been so overplayed people will be sick of it by the time they get the mix. Maybe Alex will have the CD for me when I babysit tomorrow and I can preview the rest of the tunes.
Hm, I'm just not happy with the mix so far. I was thinking of putting one of the live Rockwell Church tracks on the mix too, from the show we went to in October, but the song is already dated, as it was about the election, and I think it might just depress most of my friends to hear Nathan singing so happily about the current election forecast. Depresses me anyway.
LOST freaked me out several times tonight. Not gonna ramble/spoil right now but whoa. I freakin' love that show. :-)
I'm supposed to babysit a bit longer tomorrow so Alex & Monica can get out and see a movie or something. I sorta wanna take Star Wars over, now that I have it on DVD...but I dunno if they would be cool with Skylor watching it. Though I usually just bring DVDs over and we watch anyway, without asking haha. I'm a bad babysitter. But Star Wars is a classic!
Ah well, off to read some Lemony Snicket, then bedtime!
P.S. the new Lemony Snicket books have "movie tie-in" covers that are really cute, as they are made to look like Count Olaf (Jim Carrey) taped a note to the books saying how the book was lame and you should go see the movie cuz even if it's depressing at least you don't have to take all that time to read about it haha. Snicket rules.
