orangerfulOn the road again today, heading up to New Jersey to have Christmas #2 with his family. They're not actually home today, so we're just going to meander up and get there when we get there. We're taking the Dead Like Me DVDs that AD got for christmas and my Blackadder set to show his mom. (she needs to know who Hugh Laurie REALLY is! hehe). Charged the GBA up last night so I'll be playing "Mario and Luigi Superstar" on the road.
According to TVshowsonDVD.com, I'm all set for next christmas as far as Doc and my Mom go. Both DVD sets that I was wanted to get for them come out mid-2005. Reilly Ace of Spies and Remington Steele. Sam Neill and Pierce Brosnan = nummy treat. Plus, hey, good shows! Bonus there.
I was so not in the mood to babysit last night. I was *this* close to snapping. I can't stand baby talk, and I can tell that both Skylor and Snowden do it when their grandparents are around. I swear, when I got there niether of them could string a sentence together. It was driving me NUTS a I refuse to respond to baby talk unless it comes from an actual baby. And Sky is going thru some "look at me" phase, which I also despise. I kept telling him that maybe if he did something more interesting than screaming "Jingle Bells' I would look at him. Ah well.
My eyes were once again opened to how much I love my family and how I was raised. Being the only child for so long, I got tons of cool stuff, not just "girl toys". In fact, my mom was anti-barbie. I had blocks and castles, and my little pony AND transformers. Skylor and Snowden (and as AD pointed out, probably most kids) recieved stereotypical xmas presents. Skylor got a blue tape player and a castle with knights....Snowden got a pink tape player and a my little pony castle. and a Vanity. A VANITY! Ick. how lame. Sky gets toys and she gets...makeuP?
And yes, I got toys for Christmas! Adrian somehow found a LOTR:FOTR set of the mini-figures. They are so cool! Plus, the figures of Sauron and some orcs and Uru-Kai. I'm going to re-arrange the DVDs again next week, and have the little fellas walking all around them, with Minis Tirith in the background....I'll post pics then. I also got a Fraggle and Snoopy doll. And the rest of the Eddie Izzard DVDs. and Thumb Wars, which is a parody on Star Wars by the guy who made "Kung-Pow", which both interests and frightens me. OOOooh, and I also got BUFFY'S CROSS! Yes, the official replica of the cross Angel gave her in the very first episode and that she wore for that whole season. It's gorgeous...but it weighs a ton. Again, pics later.
