So, I wore my Darth Vader shirt over to babysit today. The kids thought it was quite cool. Snowden kept saying "Darf Vader, bad, now good!" since I guess she watched the end of RotJ. I took over my pictures from Celebration II, which Skylor got a kick out of. I wish I had actual spending money, I'd so buy him some Star Wars toys. Maybe once I'm out of Xmas debt I'll go over to Kmart and get some of those big ones we saw for him and Snowy. I'm still insanely happy that I turned them into star wars fans (especially since Monica admitted to not having seen Star Wars since it's original release!)
We watched a good 80% of "Definate Article" today, so I have a few ideas for Eddie Izzard icons now. That man cracks me up. The entire bit about playing in his school band makes me laugh so hard, because it's just all true. Especially when he talks about being 3rd clarinet. "1st clarinet gets the melody....second clarinet gets the harmony....third clarinet gets all the notes left over!...and the only way to make it interesting is to play them really LOUD!". Ah man. I miss band. haha.
Party at Crofton library tomorrow evening. I think I might stop in and see whats up, hopefully
destertale will be there as we hardly ever get to chat for longer than 15 minutes when we work together. I need to buy a "goofy" gift for the gift exchange, so I might pop into walmart and see if they have any DVDs for cheap. Maybe something Mel Brooks like (I think Spaceballs is only $10).
I have this weird urge to have a big party. Our apartment really isn't big enough, but I just want to invite everyone over at once! I don't know what we'd do, but I have so many friends that I feel like I hardly ever get to see, I just want everyone to come over and hang out. I was pondering a birthday party but then people would think I was just doing it for presents, but I would say not to bring gifts, we're just gonna hang out. *sigh* maybe it's just a phase since I've actually been working regularly.
Mom has offered to take us out to dinner on Saturday night! We have to choose a resaurant close by. AD's folks are taking us to P.F. Chang's on Sunday, for his brother's birthday. Weekend is already booked. Crazy. (not to mention I work 9-5 on saturday at Provinces branch).
Anyhoo, need to get to bed! I made a handful of icons this week so I thought I'd share them:

oh, and what is the deal with these "good" icon communities? what are they saying about the regular ones? I don't think that's very nice, I mean, my icons sucked when I started out but I think I'm getting better, and most of that came from posting and getting comments and seeing other icons. Why make a group like that, it just seems mean and very snobby!

Date: 2005-01-28 06:47 pm (UTC)hehe, you've encouraged me, now I'm going to start planning!
EDDIE!
Date: 2005-01-28 06:09 am (UTC)You can quote Weird Al, you like Buffy, and you know who Eddie Izzard is.
No, scratch that, you talk about Eddie Izzard before you mention his name.
Have you seen him live? I have. It was expensive, and the show was rather bland, but at least I get to say I was there, in the audience, while a bloke with fake breasts told jokes about the Fantastic Four.
I just found an old data CD I'd burned the entirety of DA, DTK, Glorious. It's sad, because I own DTK, Unrepeatable, and Glorious on DVD now.
"So Hitler died a ditch, covered in petrol, on fire...so that's fun...I think that's funny...'cause he was a mass-murdering fuckhead."
Get some icons made. I need Eddie icons....
Re: EDDIE!
Date: 2005-01-28 06:43 pm (UTC)I've seen Eddie live TWICE. :) One was the "Circle" tour where he played this crappy little venue in Philly (smaller than my high school auditorium!). He had a cold and they didn't have the right sound system for him to set up him cordless microphone, so he was wired to the ground. First thing he did was pull the cord as tight as possible and walked around saying "This is the radius of my show tonight." Saw "Sexie" at a far better venue, again in Philly. How much things change after a couple years. Also went up to New York and saw "A Day in the Death of Joe Egg" which he was very good at, it was so weird seeing him act, especially the serious bits.
I went to England with my folks a few years back and bought PAL copies of DA & Unrepeatable, brought them back and had them transferred to NTSC format. And now I own them all on DVD...*sigh* the memories. haha. Now, if I could just download a decent copy of "Live at the Ambassador" I'd have seen everything he's ever done.
"Follow him...he speaks in sentences..."
