Been pretty steady today yet again. I feel sorta groggy still. We went over and AD set up Al's new computer last night. Didn't get home until 1am. Had to be up at 7:50am to make it here by 9. I'm awake but I feel sorta "meh".

Had a woman come in today and swear that there was a book on her card she never checked out. Tried to convince her to just leave it on her card and to wait and see if someone returned it before we marked the item missing. But she wanted to take care of it right then. About 2 hours later, she calls back and says she found it. She doesn't really apologize so much as admit she was wrong. It was weird. But I took care of it and now I'm laughing at her thru my blog so there.

I wanted to buy Snowden a star wars toy for her birthday. I was going to get her a Princess Leia figure, but for some reason, the new Jedi Force line only has Vader, Luke, Chewie and 3P0&R2. wtf? Why does Leia keep getting the shaft from the marketing department. And Han Solo is by far the coolest good guy around, where's his action figure? Ah well. I might get her Darth Vader if I can find him. Or a My Little Pony. Not sure yet. I'd get her some Playskool figure but they have blasters attatched to their hands, I'm not sure Monica would roll with that.

Everyone has been posting neat-o LOST icons...I want to make some icons.

I have the hardest time finding Luke action figures around, so I'm happy he's in the new line. Try going to the clearance sections at Walmart or Target, I can usually find tons of Leia and Madine toys there. I think the reason they don't sell too well is because mostly boys or collectors buy them, and boys don't want a girl and collectors will only buy one.

And Luke is so much cooler than Han. Some day I wilol convince you. The new My Little Ponies are SO cute, I love them and want them all to myself.

I got to Target and I paniced. They had a Luke & a Vader, and I decided that Skylor would probably be heart-broken if Snowden got a star wars toy and he didn't. But since she knows who darth vader is, I plan on giving that one to her, and giving Skylor Luke. I mean, they both have lightsabers. Skylor has a monopoly on the "cool toys" in that house, so I think it's time to turn the table there.

But since I was panicing, I also about her a My Little Pony (since they are only $5). I figure she should get more gifts since it's actually her birthday.

and this whole Luke is cooler than Han thing...I'm going to need to see a graph or chart of some kind that breaks it down for me.

One thing I like about Sirsi's online card catalog is that for a lot of items you can look it up and find a picture of the cover. I've had patrons who swear they don't know what book you're talking about even if you tell the the title, author, and kind of book; but, show them a picture of it, and they're like: Oh yeah! That one! Heh. >_
