Finally sat down and watched "Bournce Supremecy" last night. I don't know why, I just had this sudden movie urge at midnight, so instead of going to bed I popped in the DVD. We've had it since Xmas, so it was really just getting silly. If a movie ever deserved the label "Action-Packed" it would be this one. I honestly only think there was about 30 minutes of dialogue to keep the plot going while the rest of the film was Matt Damon being chased or Matt Damon chasing someone else. And the moscow car chase was freakin' awesome! It was everything you want out of a car chase. Chunks of the hood flying off, other cards spinning out of control...they were really proud of their side-impact camera too, probably the most painful thing to watch. And as a bonus Karl Urban (Eomer) was in it, though he was playing a bad Russian.
EDIT: I posted this whole thing and forgot to tell you about the funny part! See, I'm halfway through the movie and the disc starts wigging out during one of the few dialogue moments. I play with it for a minute and it won't work so I figure "eh, what could happen in one scene" and I skip to the next chapter. Turns out, that was THE scene, where the bad guy confesses, Bourne figures out whats going on, and so does the CIA agent chasing him. So when I got to the end of the movie, I was like "WTF!" so I took the disc out, cleaned it off, and put it back it. It worked so I was able to see the scene, all be it, out of context.
Now I get to pick another movie to Netflix. Right now I have "Sky Captain" and "Unbreakable" (somehow i never saw that movie, and it's the only M. Night Shymalan movie I haven't seen so...). I'm thinking I might get "Big Lebowski" "Nausicaa" or "Mr Show: Season 1". Unless you all have some suggestions?
We learned how to play "Backgammon" last night. Talk about a game that looks confusing but is actually quite simple. It was fun, though neither of us had any real strategy going.
jimithingy won, of course, but in all fairness, he actually read the rules so he might have had a slight advantage. I was playing Paper Mario at the time and trying to find a damn badge to let me beat the new baddies.
Rumor has it that it is going to snow this evening. It's actually quite pleasant out at the moment. Doesn't look like they expect any accumulation, just a fun wintry mix. Should all be over by tomorrow morning.
Now, to figure out what I'm going to do with myself today...
