So I went to the Star Wars collector's club meeting after work today. Man, it was sooooo much fun. Everyone was really nice and friendly. And they were actually organized! There was mingling time, then they had a little presentation on carded figures (which was amusing) and they made a little "Cribs" episode one of one of the guys collections. There were at least 40 people there. And at the end, we got to see the new Clone Wars cartoon that airs on Monday. So cool. An organized group. I got to see Darth Tater up close too, I must have him. They said Toys R Us just starting stocking them, so I shall have to go there on Tuesday when I get my Clone Wars DVD.

destertale tells me that Frosted Flakes has lightsaber spoons inside. This is what I get for not going down the cereal isle on Wednesday. All we saw were the lousy corn-pops "jedi mind trick" card game (i.e. you cut up the box). So we need to buy Frosted Flakes. At least two boxes....maybe 3 so I can give one to Sky & Snowden haha.

So it was a good day. Had to help two kids with projects that are due Monday. *headdesk* Like we have a ton of books on Political stances of the late nineteenth century in England. Did they think I could just make the book magically appear. Worst part was, one girl came in at about 12 and asked for Victorian stuff, so I gave her ALL the books to check out. Then at 2:30, another girl came up, and I have no resources because I had given them all away! She got lots of internet print outs hehe.

I'm not insanely happy with the look of the text on #3. Stupid "END" didn't want to look menacing. I need more fonts. More readable fonts. 5&6 were requests. 7&8 are Thumb Wars references.

Woohoo! The merchandising starts! I'm going to have to keep my son out of some of the grocery aisles, or he'll want it all! :D

So far, I haven't seen anyone on LJ mention the Vader sprinkler-head attachment that we picked up at Target a few months ago. Hmmmm...

Ooohh! Such pretties you have here! Personally, I like #3, but I hear ya... I'm never too thrilled about most of my texts/fonts.

I saw the sprinkler head on starwarsshop.com and I just had to crack up. I mean, at what point in the film does vader take up gardening?? haha. I did get Darth Tater yesterday!! He's so cute! with his wittle cape and lightsaber.

:D Well, his step-family were moisture farmers, after all. ~laughs~ I just find it so funny how the people in LFL would pair up such an innocent thing as running through the sprinklers with something as malevolent as Vader. ;D But, I just had to get it for my 3-yr-old!

Awwww... cute! Heh, I'm wondering if Toy Story's Mr. Potato-head would let Darth Tater steal the spotlight. ;D (Sorry, I'm really tired.) :)
