I got my credit card bill today and had quite a surprise - somehow Entertainment Weekly and Sports Illustrated had gotten ahold of my number and charged me for a subscription! I had signed up for a free 6 month trial during xmas shopping, but it never asked me for billing information. Somehow, they tracked me down. That's just wrong. I cancelled it though, so my money will be refunded. At least I got my star wars issue.

Speaking of Star Wars, Target is supposed to be sending out coupons this week. Some of the DCSWCC members have already recieved there. None here yet though. If anyone gets one in the mail and doesn't want it for there collection, can I have it?

Looks like people are either going to Annapolis or Columbia for midnight madness. I'm leaning towards Annapolis as I think it's closer, plus I know at least one person who will be there (and he was really nice to me at the library).

Library was pretty steady today. I worked 1-9, the weather was horrible but that didn't keep people away. Had a couple questions that made me really work for my money ("I need a map of europe from the mid-1800s"). But otherwise, pretty simple stuff. I also found out that Birgit will be on the interview panel when I'm there. Eep. That's a little crazy.

[livejournal.com profile] whitesnow18 asked what the heck is on my Netflix list anyway - so I figured I'd show you all. I just add stuff all the time and keep it there for when the fancy strikes me. Also, most of these are for me, so I have to wrack my brain for movies both me and [livejournal.com profile] jimithingy would like so we can watch them together. Feel free to suggest more!

That totally bites! Thank the Maker that you got the SW one! (I have it, too!)

Awww, hun. I got my coupon last week. (I still don't even know how they knew to send one to me... must be all the action figures I've been buying.) :) It's attached to a pretty foil card of this image. ~points to icon~ What fun! I hope you get yours soon!

Heh, maybe I should cut&paste your list cuz there are a lot of films there that I totally forgot about. :) (Currently, the hubbie is in charge of our NetFlix list, and I think he just may 'forget' to add some dramas here and there.) ~giggles~

I have a feeling my mom will get one and I won't. And I'm the one who needs it more! Unless, of course, she wants to buy me figures...hm...

Yeah, I'm always getting up during other movies/tv shows and adding stuff that I just saw an add for, because you really do forget what movies are out there. Oooh, I could add you as a Netflix friend? Would you like to do that?

Awww, hun. ~crosses fingers~

A NetFlix friend? I'm fairly uneducated as to what they offer besides tons of movies for cheap, etc. The hubbie set up the account and has ordered everything so far. I just haven't taken the time to sneak a peek for myself. What's it all about? :)

it's just a program on the Netflix site that lets you see what your "friends" have recently watched and what they rated it. Right now I just have my mom's account on it (though it's so very obvious my brother is rating the movies.) Anyhoo, if you want to try it, you just have to type in my boyfriend's e-mail addy (we have the opposite set up here, he pays for the account, but I'm the one in charge of it hehe). Let me know if you want to try it and I'll tell you his addy.

That sounds pretty cool. :) Yeah, if you wanna send me his addy, you can have it forwarded to my email through persephones_rev@livejournal.com if you don't want it out here in the open. :D

Ok first off...My lil bro got his target coupon in the mail. (Bad thing is...he is in Kentucky and we don't have a target closer than an hour away.)

In regards to your Netflix:
*Secondhand Lions--my roommate loved this movie. Everytime we talk on the phone she asks me if I have seen it yet...(no I haven't....I'm a poor librarian...I'm waiting till it is a part of our movie collection and I can see it for free. ^.^)
*Win a Date with Tad Hamilton- Was partially shot in my little town! (Although I know of no where in WV where we actually have a 'Piggly Wiggly'.)
*Holes was cute.
*Virgin Suicides was good.
*MST3K--both now. hahahahahahahaha. (I may go looking for MST3K icons today...)
*Closer....I just want to see it.

And that's my input on that.

at this point, I just want the pretty postcard. I'm hoping my mom will get one and save it for me.

I have MST3K on my list, but I actually found a librarian that owns the entire series on DVD and he's willing to lend them to me haha. Funny thing is, I have to meet up with him at work to get them, even though he lives right down the street somewhere. haha.

I've heard Virgin Suicides was very artsy, which is why I haven't watched it yet. I only know that the Sophia Coppala directed it, and I loved Lost in Translation, so I put it on my list.

I don't even know why I put stepford wives on there haha. I know it's bad. I think I was desperate at the time.

Thanks for the input!

:D I didn't even recognize him at the time, but saw his name credited later. (He's one of the boys who escorts one of the sisters to a dance.)
Dude! He's so flippin' hot in Life as a House! But then again, I've always been partial to pretty boys in eyeliner and piercings. :D He really does a remarkable job playing the angsty teen in LaaH. And, Kevin Kline and Kristin Scott Thomas also give remarkable performances as well.
