So, who wants to be interviewed by me?
persephones_rev Q&A with me:
1. What is your favorite perfume/cologne/fragrance you adorn yourself with?. Hm, I don't really wear perfumes because they make me sneeze, but I did have an orange afterbath splash that AD bought me when we were first dating (i.e. before he knew he should just buy me toys) that I fond of. Helped me wake up and it smelled yummy.
2. In the beginning of ANH, when Vader confronts Princess Leia on Tantive IV, do you think he knows/realizes she's his daughter? And if not, why? Nope. I need to see RotS but I almost feel like he probably had forgotten alot about Anakin's life. I'm not sure if he even knew he had twin children. He was still Darth Vader, with no real thought of Skywalker anymore, it's not until ESB that I think he starts to re-connect with his old self. And then he's obsessed with Luke, not Leia.
3. Cake, or Death? uuuuuuuuh,Death...NO WAIT! I meant Cake! I meant cake.
4. If you could travel back in time, but only throughout your own lifetime, the cut-off being the year of your birth, where/when would you go and why? Quantum Leap question? haha. Hm let me think...that's a hard one...it would be cool to travel back and end up in Tunisia filming ANH...but then again, might be cool to turn up at the WB studios during the first year of Buffy...all I would need is one walk on role and I could be the female Johnathan!
5. Out the four lovers Buffy had, which relationship was your favorite and why? I think I'm a Buffy/Angel fan all the way, even though I understand it's never meant to be. I enjoy their times together and apart, but I never once felt like they would spend forever together. I feel for both of them, it was their greatest love, but perhaps for it to remain that way, it has to be unrequited? Plus, Riley was always rebound guy to me, and I think Buffy treated him that way, so that was unpleasant to watch. Spike/Buffy started out painful, though I think their season 7 arc was nice, but it never had the same identifiable themes of the Angel/Buffy saga. And Parker should die *stabs*
(My husband just added one... we'll say it's for Extra Credit, and you don't have to answer, but I thought it was funny...Bonus Question: Just what
exactly makes Boba Fett bad-ass?)
Bonus Question - lord knows. I've never been huge on the Mandalorian bounty hunter myself. I think he was more bad-ass pre-AotC when we knew nothing about him and he was just this guy in cool armor that popped up and actually had the guts to talk back to Vader. Now he's just some whiny clone kid who had daddy issues.

5. Which exams should you be studying for?
Re: Interview Me!
Date: 2005-05-02 01:06 am (UTC)2. Padme & Anakin or Han & Leia? Why? Hm.. that's hard.. I guess Padme and Anakin because their relationship is so beautiful and tragic. I'm a hopeless romantic and loved watching them get together (even though Anakin was kind of stalkery. O.o) Plus, I love Natalie Portman and Padme's wardrobe, and all of those gorgeous, romantic dresses makes it all even more beautiful and sappy. ^_^
3. How old were you when you "retired" from being a gymnast? I quit gymnastics when I was... 15 years old, after my Freshman year in High School. I did it for 10 years and competed for 7 years. Actually, my floor exercise music was "Star Wars." My dad loved it, my mom.. not so much. ^_^
4. Tell me a piece of music that is important to you and why? "Looking Back on Today" by The Ataris because it's one of the songs I put on the first mix CD that I made for my boyfriend, before we got together. It's an amazing love song that's not overly sappy, and it always reminds me of him.
5. Which exams should you be studying for? I have to study Ethical Theory, Biology 102, and History of Rock and Roll. I also have a 5-page take-home essay exam to start/do for Introduction to Global Studies.

3. Do you think Hermione should end up with Ron, Harry, Klaus or someone new or not at all?
4. Who is your favorite character on Buffy and why?
5. Where would you like to live the majority of your adult life?
(it's actually quite hard to think up questions on the spur of the moment!)

Date: 2005-05-03 03:30 am (UTC)I wake up in the morning, I have an artistic whim that I wish to carry out, be it make a film (video), write a song, write a story, make some sort of abstract art, whatever, and I get paid to do this regardless of the results. (Sometimes, you will make crappy things, it just happens that way). But I'd be fortunate enough to have the job that pays me nicely to be creative.
2. What was your favorite course you took in college?
Intro to writing creative non-fiction essays. It's really the only class that helped me figure out my life.
3. Do you think Hermione should end up with Ron, Harry, Klaus or someone new or not at all?
Ron. The chemistry is so there. And Ron and Hermione become totally jealous with each other whenever one is with someone else. I love the dynamics between those two.
4. Who is your favorite character on Buffy and why?
Buffy. She is the oldest child in her family, and after her mom died she knew she had to take care of Dawn. It's the same for me. If my mom dies I have to take care of Whitney and Raven. I have no other family. And I could totally understand all of Buffy's fears and hurt and pain that came to her in those episodes. I identified with her. She also knows she has good friends to help her out (as do I) and she seems to care about each and every one of them as much as I do.
5. Where would you like to live the majority of your adult life?
That's a hard one, but I'd really like to be near a beach.

Date: 2005-05-03 04:26 am (UTC)Near a beach? Really? I don't think I knew you were a beach kinda person. Do you like to just hang out on the shore or are you a swimmer?
Some part of me knew you were going to say Buffy...you have a very strong personality like her, she never backs down from what she believes in and she hardly ever has trouble speaking her mind plus she handles responsibility reasonably well...yeah, that works.

Date: 2005-05-03 05:39 pm (UTC)I love beaches. Just the feeling and the atmosphere. I'm not a beach head or anything. But it's outdoors that I like, and boardwalks are always great fun.
I was afraid to say Buffy, b/c I feared it would be the cliche answer, but whatever. :)

Date: 2005-05-02 07:14 pm (UTC)2. Where is the real attraction - Hayden or Anakin? Please explain.
3. How do you wake up in the morning?
4. What is your favorite thing about living in Arizona?
5. If you could change one thing about the Star Wars movies, (and Lucas promised to leave it changed), what would it be?
(no subject)
Date: 2005-05-07 04:17 am (UTC)2. The real attraction is with Anakin, ever since I read a particularly enthralling 'smutty' fanfic. (The 'smut' aspect was sexy, yes, but the real draw for me was this writer's portrayal of just how far Anakin would go to 'win' Padme... ) Hayden is pretty hot, and seems so adorable in his interviews (and I think he's one heck of an actor), but it's really Anakin who I'm 'in love' with. I just love the tortured and angsty pretty boys. ;)
3. Displeased, or I wake up with a start. Don't really know why, but sometimes, the alarm actually 'alarms' me. I'll even gasp. o.O I'm really not a morning person.
4. Hmmmm... can't really decide. My family and best friend are here, the weather is amazing in both Fall and Spring, and in the Winter, you can drive for a few hours to go skiing, or, you can always drive like 6-8 hours and visit the beach, regardless of season. I'm also quite particularly fond of the fact that we don't tend to have any major natural disasters. occasionally, we'll get a flash flood, or we'll hear about a tornado just outside of town, but the worst I think I've experienced have been dust storms.
5. That's a tough one because I don't really like to think of how I'd have it done. I feel like they are his work, and that SW should stay the way he deems fit. Originally, I didn't like the stiffness of some of the actors, but then I realized that Lucas wanted them to act that way. I think I'm a bit disappointed that Padme's strong character gets reduced to 'beautiful, kind, but sad', or however the line goes. I've heard people say that she lives on through her children's idealism and love for each other, etc, but I don't think it's enough. Oh, and Mace's 'urban' accent throws me off a little. ;D

Date: 2005-05-08 12:22 am (UTC)fishyPisces!I always jump when I hear my alarm. I have it set to the radio and it's quite loud because some nights I am really out like a light. Somedays I waoke up a minute before hand just so I don't have to hear it turn on.
Yeah, I really liked Padme in AotC, I thought the fact that she could take care of herself and speak for herself was great to see in sci-fi...but the fact that Anakin gets so much more attention in the long run...well it is kinda sad. Lucas isn't perfect at writing women, I think he could have used a little "female advice" when scripting Padme and Anakin's woo-ing scenes.

Date: 2005-05-08 11:44 pm (UTC)Yay for Water signs! I'm one as well, a Cancer/Leo cuspid!
Heh, lately, Ive been sleeping so deeply that I won't hear my alarm, but the hubbie does, and he'll hit snooze before I even get a chance to have it wake me! o.O
I liked the scenes (though I didn't at first) where he was wooing Padme (in front of the fireplace.) To me, it showed that he's not ashamed or afraid of his emotions, and it shows just how fierce he can get. Even his love for her is intense, and almost dark. (My friend had to point this out to me...) I mean, in my opinion, he's almost a borderline stalker-type, being so fixated on her after only having such a brief relationship with her in his childhood. o.O
But yeah, she's so strong, and even though I know the whole saga is really about Anakin's fall and redemption, I still think she should've got a little more than a few adjectives. :)

Date: 2005-05-08 12:21 am (UTC)2. If money or job was not an issue, where (location and type of housing) would you want to live and why?
3. What is your current favorite TV show and who is you favorite character on it? Why?
4. Do doctors every really say "stat" like they do on television?
5. Have you ever seen a medical professional portrayed on TV or in a movie in a way that made you really angry?
the answers...
Date: 2005-05-08 12:56 am (UTC)2. I am always trying to figure out the answer to this question! I have narrowed it down to probably california- because I want to live on a coast, the middle of the country just seems weird. Like, where's the beach? It almost seems claustrophobic because there's no side with water, just all land. And I can't live in a republican state (i'm not counting stupid arnold, i think that's just a weird anomaly. but no southern states or midwest). And I really hate cold weather... so I think california would be ideal. As for type of housing- I want a house with a really open first floor, just one big space and high ceilings. And lots of glass paneling for the walls, and an outdoor patio in the back. Something really open with lots of light.
3. Desperate HOusewives... it's hard to pick my favorite character though, but I think Bree. Not that I want to be her, but I think Bree is just SO interesting, how she has the perfect exterior but there is so much going on inside. I like all of the women really.
4. They say it sometimes, like if they want a test done right away for example a stat glucose (fingerstick) to distinguish it from waiting to send blood down to the lab. And I'm sure there's other things. But they don't throw it around like they do on ER! They really don't say it often in my experience anyway.
5. This is hard... I can't think of any offhand, well sometimes Elliot on scrubs is way too ditsy and really annoys me. But it's not really how she's portrayed as a medical professional- it's really just her being a woman and acting like that which bothers me. Oh, and sometimes when they show a doctor being really arrogant and not caring about the patient- like on Gray's anatomy a week or 2 ago this surgeon made a comment about needing to get to his golf game and didn't care about sparing the patient's nerves in the surgery, which would have made him impotent. Maybe there are doctors like that- there probably are just like there are bad people in any profession, but it makes me upset to see it because I don't want patients to think that about all doctors :(
Re: the answers...
Date: 2005-05-08 03:05 am (UTC)ooooh, I want to visit your house. :-) I don't think I could ever live in the middle of the country either, it really is a completely different world. I'm not even a beach person, but I still can't imagine living somewhere so far away from the ocean that you couldn't go to the beach.
Have you watched "House" at all? I know that there's stuff in that show that is probably very unrealistic. But even though House makes fun of his patients at times, he always gets them the best care he can. I think that's why I watch that show.
They really do need to do something about Eliot's character. I haven't really watched the season because last year she was pretty annoying. Why is it that if she's female and a doctor, she has to be neurotic? I mean, why don't they just make her like you, you still have plenty of misadventures!
