I just bought all 4 Slurpee cups. There is not 7-11 around here, and I was at my parents so I figured I'd pop in a get a Slurpee in one of the cool cups. But then I started looking at the cups and they were all pretty cool. They are "lenticulars", which means they have that 3-D look to them. There's one of Anakin & Obi, one with Yoda & Vader, one with Vader and his starfighter, and one with Vader and evil eyes Anakin. So I just filled up one cup and bought the other 3. The guy looked at me like I was nuts, but I'm not even that huge a fan of Slurpees, but I do have a soft spot for oversized cups (I still have my Jurassic Park, Batman, Batman Returns, and Honey I Shrunk the Kids cups). I only bought one of the Vader toppers because, honestly, when the heck am I gonna use those things? They don't even FIT right!

I made this wallpaper tonight - I'm not super thrilled with it...I had a great idea and then it sorta fizzled out and I lost focus. I need to start plotting this stuff out on paper before opening photoshop. Blah. Figured I'd share then the more graphically inclined among you could give me pointers/tips/suggestions.

I also made this yoda banner. I stared at [livejournal.com profile] spitefairy's pretty banners and tried to figure out what made me like them so much, then tried to make this one. Again, not perfect, but I think that's because I kept the background of the main picture because I liked the way it looked. I'm happier with this one than I am with the wallpaper. I'm thinking I might do a Yoda makeover for the LJ later this week.

I really like that yoda banner.... although the quote "It's not easy being green" makes me more think of Shrek.... then again it doesn't help that I'm watching Shrek right now. :)

the fact that it made you think of Shrek and not Kermit is a bit disturbing! I made another one with a different quote, an actual Yoda quote...I just posted one though...hm...

the cups are pretty cool. The darth vader toppers are useless though, mine popped off in the car and started leaking slurpee. I only bought one just to have it but passed on having 4. AD said I should put something on the botton and use it as a pen holder haha. He's funny.

I used to collect oversized cups. I used to drink iced tea out of them. Surprised I survived it. That's a lot of sugar, when you think about it.

I don't know what cups I still have, but I had a lot of them. I think I have a Return of the Jedi cup somewhere.

I used to collect whatever I could. I have some old Star Wars toys, and quite of few of the new ones. Well, new, as in, Power of the Force/Shadows of the Empire new. I don't suppose that's new, anymore. I think the last ones I bought were a couple of Jawas and Grand Moff Tarkin.

I've also got a lot of the soda pop packaging from around the Special Edition release. It didn't occur to me that everybody would be doing the same thing, and it would never be worth it. Well, I liked having it, so that was the point.

yeah, I don't collect with the idea of selling later, I collect to have cool stuff. I don't think I've ever sold anything of my collection. Though I have sold old CDs to pay for stuff in my collection.

Yeah, when I was little I'd go through one of those large cups in a meal, but last night, I barely put a dent in that Slurpee. Just can't take the sweetness anymore.

i enjoy the slurpee cups too
however
im disappointed in 711
they advertise darth dew
like its a new mountain dew flavored slurpee
however
they have none
they have coke, diet pepsi, fucking pina colada, and strawberry lemonade
i got the last one
but its not good enough for a repeat
luckily, 711's litter runnemede
so im gonna go to another one tonight after i pick up baby from work
hopefully i'll get a new mt. dew flavor
cuz mt. dew slurpees were damn fine

if you find the Yoda-head mug, tell me! Our 7-11 was sold out. And even though it looks like you're drinking Yoda's brains...I need to have it for my Yoda collection.

My brother said he got the Darth Dew and was not impressed by it's flavor. Let me know what you think. I opted for the strawberry fanta flavor.

Im not sure if they had the yodas
i didnt see any
however, i was in the ghetto of runnemede
near the pike
tonight i will probably venture down to the one near glendora
which is only like 2 miles away
but so much nicer
its on the way to deptford and all
im hoping for a good flavor
i dont even care if its not the darth dew
just so long as its good
cuz i only ate a banana, french toast stix (at school) and a salad today
im rocking my diet
and i dont consider slurpees to be bad for you
so it all works out nicely
i would surely like a yoda head
although, i must say i enjoy the darth vader head
mine didnt fall off
of course, i only drove 2 miles with mine
then i was home, so i was just sitting enjoying my slurpee
we'll see how it goes tonight

the yoda's are very hard to find, especially in the Maryland area it seems. The only people in my club who have them happen to have friends who live in Pennsylvania. They look kinda freaky too, as they are just green, no real paint job. When you go to 7-11, it's on display sign, you'll see what i mean.

I think the Yodas are kinda freaky looking 'cause it looks like your sticking a straw in the top of his head and sucking his brains out. Mmmmm....brains....

not to mention that they didn't bother to paint any eyes on him, he's zombie yoda...but he's still Yoda and I collect all things Yoda I can...I'd rather have the burger king toy though, so maybe I"ll save that $3 for BK toys!
