she's been at the icons again!
Jun. 9th, 2004 12:37 amWe watched the Angel episode from Season 2 when Angel gives Cordy new clothes at the end. I wondered what episode that was from, it's one of my favorite moments haha. So I spend the last hour and a half making an icon out of it.
Bought myself some comics today - Joss' X-Men and two "Tales of the Vampires" with stories by BtVS writers. Very cool. Some "light" reading hehe. Only thing, the "tales fo the vampires" are issues 1 & 4 - which means I need to get 2 & 3 to complete the set! Though really they are just a bunch of short stories so you don't need them to know what's going on. I know the comic store in Laurel had a different one, I looked at it but didn't have enough cash at the time. I should go back there, I want Buffy trading cards.
I meant to type about this over the weekend but I ended up working all of it. So I shall say it now -- "Azkaban" was such a good movie. I want to see it again though. It was so much to take in the first time, I felt very overwhelmed by the visuals. The hippogriff looked amazingly real for a CG character (we've come a long way since Jar Jar). When Harry was flying on it, wow. Hermione's punch to Malfoy's face got a round of applause from the audience. A lot of the die-hard fans are complaining about where it deviated from the book, but I really don't have a problem with that. There is so much extra in the books, which is great for a read, but when you're watching a movie you want to keep it under 3 hours (unless you're LotR, but they had special rules). I need to talk to a total HP virgin and find out if the bits that I thought might have been confusing were confusing. I talked to the guy in the comic store and he was telling me about the part with Lupin and the boggart, and I thought it was totally obvious what it meant when the boggart shape-shifted into the moon, but he said he couldn't think of it, because he saw it and then didn't really have time to ponder it's meaning. It's sorta like watching "Sixth Sense" the second time around, you feel so silly not knowing!
Anyhoozit, ( here are my pretty icons for you to look at. )
