off to Azkaban tonight!
Jun. 4th, 2004 02:44 pmThe new harry potter movie is getting FANTASTIC reviews! The Baltimore Sun gave it 4 stars and it has an 89% on RT.com!!!! And everyone is saying the same thing - this third one is what the first two should have been. I'm really excited. I loved all the books, but the first two movies did leave a lot to be desired (one of the reviewers said they felt like staged readings of the books). I cannot wait for tonight! 10:15pm at the Senator - should be wonderful! *does dance of joy*
I was getting worried, because they could have really screwed this one up, this book is when the entire story takes a darker twist. Harry and the gang begin to lose their innocence and move into the world of adulthood....well, at least, teenager-hood. Sounds like the screenwriter had no problem re-arranging a few things to make it all work. I think the guy working on the first two movies was terrified of being attacked by fans, but it sounds like they sucked it up for this film and made it work on screen. Rowling has so many little characters but it would take forever to include them all on film.
I'm so excited!!!! yay!
