Monty Python that is:

Icon was freaking massive. I had to sit and fiddle with the optimize settings to get it down to under 40k. Ah well, Python fans don't need to read it, and other people probably won't get it. It was mostly for my own amusement. And Paul's. And Vincent's. And Mom would enjoy it if she read LJ.

Loooong day. Worked from 2:30-7:30, sold a crapload of pants to many people. S'all good though. Did a little Buffy workout before I left. Watched "I, Robot...You, Jane". Finally got the joke that is the title. Ah, Buffy, the gift that keeps on giving. Especially if you're slow. Talk about nerd alert, when I first saw that episode I didn't know much about internet, but watching it now, when I'm all net savvy...let's just say there are a few things that jump out at me. But hey, it was the 90s, what did we know about computers? They were for dorks only! And now, things have changed.....or have they? hehe. Prodigy was my biotch in the 90s. My parents always liked to take the lesser of two evils, and since AOL was dominating, we ended up with Prodigy. Yeesh. Is Prodigy even around anymore? I still have printouts from the Red Dwarf message boards somewhere.

Nerd Alert 2: We just spent far too much time watching the Gaming Awards on G4. What a stupid STUPID show. The one commentator was just like Zoolander. At the end of each sentence, he felt the need to do his Le Tigre, or Magnum, or whatever it was. Cliffy B, your days are numbered. And how the heck is that dave navarro guy? he was just *nasty* looking. Ugh. He was weirding me out no end. Honestly, it was just a big commercial. Though I did enjoy the Prince of Persia 2 clip. I need that game sooooo bad.

Blah - working again tomorrow, same bat time same bat channel. Probably be stuck there until 10 though. Depends on how busy it is. HERE THAT ANNAPOLIS! GET YOUR SHOPPING DONE BY 6 SO I CAN GO HOME!

Obviously, I'm quite tired. I have about 4 icon bases sitting in photoshop saying "please please make us pretty" but right now I think I'm gonna sleep. Never fear icon bases, I shall return to you tomorrow.

grrr argh

LJ is having major issues so my friends page is loading all wonky. Guess I'll have to wait until I come home to check it out. I want to see the [livejournal.com profile] starwars_stills pretties. oh well.

Got bushwacked by Hidalgo. I could have sworn I put Aqua Teen first on the netflix cue and hidalgo second, but for some reason I am getting Hidalgo sent to me. Must have been "short wait" on ATHF....*sigh*. Meatwad will have to wait.

Had another buffy workout this morning. Biked for a good 20+ minutes to "The Puppet Show", perhaps one of my favorite season 1 episodes. And not just because of the Oedipus scene of the closing credits. I remember watching the episode for the first time and falling for the mislead and being just as surprised as Buffy when Sid turned out to be a demon hunter. Angel really isn't in the first season as much as I thought. After the Angel episode, he sorta disappears. Which makes sense cuz it would be a bit awkward, the whole "sorry I thought you killed my mom" thing.

I downloaded "unofficial" (read "illegal") soundtrack mixes for Dead Like Me, Buffy, and Scrubs off of supernova.org. OH and GET THIS - according to a post on [livejournal.com profile] whedonesque today, the Angel soundtrack will not be released in the States! A big WTF to the record label. WHY THE HELL NOT? *sigh* thank god for Amazon UK.

Watched the first half of "Bargaining" (the season six Buffy premiere) with the commentary on. Marti Noxon and David Fury have far too much fun, but they also clear up a few things about the darkness of season 6. Honestly, I was worried about watching any of it again because I know it's such a rough season. But re-watching Bargaining didn't feel too bad. And listening to them talk about Joss' plans for the season and stuff made me feel better. At least he knew what he was doing with his characters. (*cough*chriscarter*cough*lucas*cough*) Perhaps thats why I was able to stay with Buffy thru season 7, even though the stories were very dark and depressing at time, it still seemed to work for me. It wasn't like X Files where it became painfully obvious that they were just bowing to the will of the fans (ugh, sorry shippers, M&S was a BAD idea).

Okay, I'll stop now.

[livejournal.com profile] maybemanda stopped by the mall today while I was working at just the moment they were letting me go home, so we got to hang out and chat for a bit (and I got credit for a pair of pants she bought! bwahaha!). Now if we can just find a day that we are both free so we can hang out for more than 30 minutes.

Maine next week! Yay!
