orangerful: (effulgent)
yay I can sleep in tomorrow! Or at least, not be woken up by an alarm clock. Now if I can just not have any weird dreams, things will be all good. hehe.

Ugh, my brain has just been blank this week when it came to making icons for contests. I did a couple today, but I'm staring at the blanks for some other ones and my brain just goes "poopie" - which is amusing, but would make a stupid icon. I'll probably play with them more tomorrow, I'm just supa-tired at the moment.

I only have about 50+ pages left in "Devil in the White City". That book was awesome. I gotta find this author's other one, "Isaac's Storm" to see if it's just as good. I don't think that one has the murder and mayhem of this one, but he does know how to tell a story. I know way more about the 1893 World's Fair in Chicago...more than I would ever need to know. But they are *this* close to proving this guy his guilty. Everyone knows he's guilty, there's just no real proof that links him to the murders. I can't believe anyone could be so evil. He just did it to have the control. And when he got bored with the game, he killed the woman, had her skin and muscles removed and sold her skeleton to the local medical schools!!!! EW!!!

OH! If you see [livejournal.com profile] dstntp1lgr1m today, wish him a big ol' HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!

bedtime for me - icons for you guess which episode of BtVS we watched tonight )

I actually had a day OFF!!! How wonderful. I just woke up when I woke up, and moved about at my own pace. Got to do one of my Buffy work outs. Tried to do crunches again, but I don't think I did them right at all. I'm going to give it another shot, as I don't have to be at The Limited until 6 tomorrow. And after that...um....yeah I really didn't do much of anything today. Adrian made brownies and we had hot dogs wrapped in cresent rolls, those were pretty good. Um...I watched "Mr Plow" with commentary while I ate my lunch.

Read a bit more of "Devil in the White City". I'm up to the epilogue. Did you know the Mall in D.C. used to have a railroad track running down it? Apparently, after the 1893 World's Fair, the whole "City Beautification" movement started up, and one of the fair's designers was asked to help with DC. The first thing he did was ask the railroad company to remove the tracks. And guess who's father helped build the fair? Walt Disney's! And Disney built his theme parks to be sort of permanent World's Fairs. Frank Lloyd Wright worked for one of the companies that helped design the fair, but he got fired near the end because they caught him doing freelance work at the same time haha. I love these kinds of books.

And to amuse the other side of my brain, ATHF Vol 2 came today, so we watched "The Drizzle" and a few more episodes. They're so ridiculous, you can't help but enjoy them.

And I made a handful of icons! Who Is The Drizzle? )
