it was the best of times...

Eek! It's mom's birthday and all I have is a card. And a burned CD. I need one more thing...but what? Just some cake or ice cream? Or something else? I'm working 9:30-5:30 tomorrow, so maybe on my break I'll wander over to Borders and see if there are any books that look good. Yes, I shall be judging books by their covers tomorrow. That or maybe I can find a pretty unicorn doll.
Amazing Race ended tonight. Crazy. Chip & Kim dominated, but only due to a bit of fog that screwed the other two teams. We were in for a real race and then Chip & Kim just left them all behind on that early flight. They tried to tense it up with some quick editing...and I was tense...but in the end, it was Chip and Kim. I'd have to say, they probably got along the best of all the groups. No nasty words, no breakdowns, no real fights and screaming "I HATE YOU" constantly. Kim didn't do a whole lot, but she really took that mountain in Canada like nobody's business, while the other two girls were gasping for air. 3 good teams.
Babysat today. I am not allowed to take the kids to the park anymore cuz Alex and Monica are afraid of "weird people" being there while kids are in school. wtf. It's a park. It's out in the open. I'm with the kids. I prefer parks when they are empty, I hate having to worry about someone else kids running into the ones I'm watching. Honestly, why do they live in Annapolis if they are so scared of people? And their back yard is so crap, there's no room to run around or play. It's just a hill with dog poop and a lot of mosquitos that bite me while we're outside. *sigh* if I had car seats I'd drive them to my folks house and let them play back there. Yes, I'm pro-fence if it means the balls will not roll into the street. My whole plan for this week was to go on another "hike" and let the kids enjoy the weather. Now I'm sorta s-c-r-e-w-e-d. I might check out some other parks, maybe something official like Patuxent Wildlife Reserve, where there should be less weirdos and more park rangers. Oh, and she said going to the park would be okay on weekend, but I'm not there on weekends, ??? Yeah. I don't get it.
And I made 2 new icons. I played with colorizing one of the dead like me pics i had and now I'm obsessed....I'm going to search for more black and white photos and color them to my liking! yes! BWAHAHAHA!

And yes, another Natalie Portman icon. cuz she's pretty. And i had the pic and wanted to color it in. Her dress was really brown, but I made it red cuz I wanted to see if I could do it. I want to see Garden State again.
Did anyone get the star wars DVDs and want to tell me how good/bad they are?
