oh what the hey!

I worked 5-9 today at Crofton, which means I missed 'Attack of the Show' when it premiered. But, not to worry, I thought, it reruns at midnight. But, apparently not. G4 has decided that it wants to get all these crap shows to fill up time...so AotS has been bumped back until 1am. Blah! I wanted to see the interview with the Penny Arcade guys!!! So now I'm deciding of I want to stay up late and wait for it, or just try and catch the rerun tomorrow afternoon.

I HAVE to take my car in tomorrow. I have nothing else today, so I figure as soon as I get up, I'll go. I'm so happy I didn't go today. I was VERY tired and I just slept all night. I haven't slept that well in ages. I mean, I was O-U-T for the whole 9 hours. Felt great to wake up and just feel rested.

Comic store called jimithingy and let him know that the Inara cover for Serenity #1 was in, so we bebopped down there and snagged that, completing my set (until #3 comes out). I also bought some covers for my Buffy comics. I bagged all the comics I had, and guess what? I ran outta bags. That means I have over 100 comics here. Crazy! I didn't think it was that many. Now I have to figure out where to put them. I think another shelf re-arranging ceremony will be taking place very soon.

Y:The Last Man is the best comic ever, I just want to say that. Every time a book comes in for me, I just tear thru it. I laugh out loud, I get choked up - how many graphic novels can do that! The story is so compelling, it makes you think. I just...oooh, I love it and I wish that everyone would read it. But it's in that weird graphic novel zone...where adults fear to tread, but it's not Manga so the kids will avoid it. I think I might have to buy the tpb versions. Yes, I think I might actually bump sandman down on my wishlist, and put Y on there instead.

erm...I think I had something important to say and i've totally forgotten. Duuuuh. Maybe I should just go to be?

going to the chapel

One of my high school friend is getting married next month. The official invitation arrived today. For some reason, I cannot wrap my brain around it. I dunno why. It freaks me out. Means I'm getting older. Marriage is serious business, and I usually try to avoid serious things. Yeah. I'm not even the one getting married and I'm terrified! haha. At least I don't have to do anything. I'm just watching.

And, of course, I have nothing to wear! it says that the ceremony is at 1pm and then there is a causal picnic at 2pm...hm...ah well, I've got a month to figure this thing out.
