I wanna new spud
Jan. 26th, 2006 11:24 pmFirst, there was Darth Tater, then the Spud Trooper, now prepare yourself for R2D2Tater and look, he comes with a mini-holo-spud-leia! Must have it! Its already up for preorder at AmazonUK and should be on the US site soon.
I get my first paycheck tomorrow!!! I feel like I should do something extravagant! Buuuut I probably won't. haha. Though it's my first one, so I feel like I should celebrate. Maybe I'll just do a little dance when they hand it to me.
I am signed up for soooooo much training starting next Monday and continueing pretty much until June. Monday I'm going to PG county for a story time training session. Then February starts my library associate training and that will have random dates for the next few months. I also will have supervisor training starting up in February. And to top it ALL off, I signed up for the 'Great Books Celebration' which will be in April. I have to read 9 books and be ready for the discussion groups. I remember everyone going to it last year and being jealous because it sounded like fun. It's based around children's and young adult literature. I signed up for 3 different age groups so I have to read some picture books, some juvenile fiction and some young adult fiction. It's a lot but I have until April so I should be okay...as long as i can stop checking out other random books...

the_showcase, and it's a bit different than lims contests. Instead of being judged on one icon, they are going to have you make a batch of icons and then judge the batches. faeriesfolly is always pimping comms and I join them so I thought I'd return the favor). OH! and spitefairy has set up a new lims contest too, and I'm going to co-mod, it's called chosen_lims and you icon makers should all join that one too.
I should get to bed. Tomorrow is a 9-5, but then weekend! Well...actually, not so much as I'm working sunday, but that's only for 4.5 hours, and it's time and a half AND it's not at my home branch which means i can goof off (read livejournal) when I'm not being asked a question.
