orangerful: (clark to superman // orangerful)
Okay, so, remember how I said I was reading the novelization of 'Superman Returns'? Well, let me tell you, that is some BAD writing in there. This guy is just all over the place when it comes to point-of-view.

I mean, I know they don't pick the best authors to write these things but, don't you think, within the same paragraph, he should at least try to stick to one person's inner thoughts? Ugh, it's just so all over the place. He's in the pilot's mind, no wait, he's in superman's mind, no no no, he's describing the jet from Lois' point of view....

The book itself is interesting. I found out the origin of that silly "coming out of the closet" photo that's from the Movie Guide. Apparently, at least according to the book, Clark leaves his super suit in his office closet, unsure if whether he should be superman again. And then when Lois' plane starts to crash he has to run back to the daily planet, sneak into the closet and fly out the window. LAME! thank goodness they got rid of that. It's also why this picture exists - when he does his quick change he forgets to take of his Clark glasses.

more spoilery stuff  )

Also, how great is it that Superman Returns site has downloadable Daily Planet stationary? heehee.

Anyway, since the creators knew this would end up as a torrentanyway, they've released it online for FREE download and you can watchthe whole thing. I'm watching it now and really enjoying it.

Look, if you're going to charge a person $549+shipping for a life-size statue of Yoda, at least attach the legs. It's not like he's that tall! Seriously, a bust of Yoda just seems silly. I understand busts of the human characters, their legs are quite long, but Yoda?

This is why I stick to action figures.
