eeew, super-articulation is bad!

Pics of the Buffy figures from Wizard World Chicago. I thought most of these looked better in the previous pictures. But the biggest complaint has to be with the "deluxe" figures that have too much articulation! They are freakishly out of proportion to accomodate the HUGE ball/socket joints.

White Witch Willow amuses me just because you can make her sit like that, but I already have 3 Willow on my desk. I do like the Halloween Willow though, but her waist is almost non-existant. There are definate proportion issues going on, especially in the season 7 regular Willow, her body is far too tiny. Diamond is getting sloppy.

Oh well, if they look like crap, then I won't buy them. Saves me money.

Speaking of spending money on toys I already have too many of - the Star Wars Battlepacks are just EVIL! They keep repacking toys, and as an opener, I usually don't buy stuff I already own, BUT the fiends at Hasbro somehow found out that if they put the toys in really really cool packaging, I would be tempted to buy toys I had just to have the really cool box. For example - Battle above the Sarlacc. I'm pretty sure I have all of those figures (except the Skiff guard, but he's ugly) so I really don't need this, but look at the cool little Skiff and the Sarlacc??? Oh now I want it!

Chewbacca got no love. He's totally in that scene but not included in the battlepack. If I was an uber-nerd, I would write a strongly worded letter to Hasbro telling them that Wookiees have feelings too.

one more addiction

So, I bought the USB cord for my PSP today, which means I can download fun things, like the LocoRoco demo (which is what started this all).

But it also means I figured out how to upload wallpapers. These are especially pointless on a PSP, since how often does one have the PSP on and you're not playing a game? Exactly. But I can make them now. And make them I shall. I made a little Superman one and then shrunk down one of my Buffy banners to see how it would look. Hard part is not making it all too busy, since the PSP menues come right across the center of the screen and are written in a very light blue font...so a darker, solid background with the image off to the right is probably best.

Sadly, I only have the 35mb card that came with my PSP. I'm thinking I might ask for the bigger card for xmas, then I can put buffy episodes and such on their for any time I have a long road trip...or just to take to work with me, how sweet would that be? :D
