Now, I didn't want them to go in and Lucas-up the NBC. But if they were going to go thru all of this effort to release it in 3D, why not shoot some additional scenes that make it worthwile? Or go in and add a few extra snowflakes so they fall out of the screen - just little stuff to make me feel less like i've been duped into some marketing scheme.
But I guess all of this is really them testing the waters. Lucas has already mentioned wanting to make Star Wars 3D (and we all know he'd have no qualms going in and altering the picture to create 3D moments - suddenly for no reason, Anakin and Obi-Wan play catch??!)
( I heard 'Monster House' was a lot of fun in 3D, but the creators probably knew at the time that this would be an option. I'll be curious to see if they release 'Monster House' in 3D on the DVD. The Disney DVD is obviously a different kind of 3D than the red/green glasses of old. Spy Kids 3 on DVD came with the cardboard red/green glasses but that was a HUGE pain to set up since you had to pretty much mess up your TV's color settings to get it to sorta-kinda work.)
