orangerful: (have fun go mad // orangerful)
Our Internet went down yet again on Thursday. Guy from Broadstripe came by today and hooked us up with a shiny new modem, also fiddle with the cable box outside. So hopefully we should be good to go for awhile now.

I got a call from Harford Co. yesterday -- my interview for the YA librarian position will be on Friday! Eeep! *crosses fingers*

Okay, now to catch up on my flist....

So, last night I went with Amy to her Breaking Dawn midnight madness. I took my MacBook with me so we could watch some Battlestar while we waited in line. We started to watch 'Unfinished Business' the season 3 episode that explains all that good stuff. We didn't get to finish it, so when I got home I convinced [livejournal.com profile] jimithingy that we needed to watch it and he chose the Ronald Moore Extended Cut version.

That version, I decided, is far superior.

Also, I really want to make another 100 icon set based on that episode. There are so many great moments and images...I wonder if anyone has capped it yet. That would be a fun project for my little summer/fall break coming up in 4 weeks.

EDIT: Dang it, no one has capped the extended edition DVD on LJ...perhaps I can find it elsewhere...

Look, I think it's cool that Universal and Fox have allowed different companies to make some unique Firefly/Serenity merchandise but I have one teensy weensy little request:
CAN YOU PLEASE COMPLETE THE CREW IN AT LEAST ONE FORMAT BEFORE MAKING A NEW ONE!!!!!!!!

I mean, Little Damn Heroes anime Kaylee is adorable and all but I don't want to buy her and have that be it for the set. The PVC figure set with Mal, Jayne, and River was awesome -- how about you make me a Kaylee, Zoe, Wash, Simon, and Book in that size/shape/quality? Or, I dunno, finish the action figure line that came out when Serenity was released! Those toys sold out pretty quickly, you cannot deny that people want them! (the $80 fugly statues do NOT count as part of this line as they are over-priced and not as cool because I cannot play with them)

Blurgh

No way, ay!

Apparently, Strange Brew is loosely based on Shakespeare's Hamlet.

The random thing is that [livejournal.com profile] jimithingy and I watched Strange Brew last week and this tidbit of information just happened to appear on a Rotten Tomatoes list Greatest Shakespeare Movies. I think the internetz is stalking me!

...and now I kinda want to make Strange Brew icons...wonder if anyone was crazy enough to cap that...
