So, for those of you not living on the east coast of the U.S. - there's a lot of snow here. Maryland got womped with 30 inches, I think. But have dug out our cars and we're all waiting to see what the delay will be like for opening the library tomorrow (we were closed today - thank the gods, the roads were a MESS!).
Now they are predicting another 12"-18" tomorrow night. And, you see, Maryland is not used to getting this kind of weather. Usually we get one decent snow per winter. Not a ton, enough that everyone sits up at night waiting to see if their work will be delayed or closed the next day. So when we get snow like this, it is mass chaos. We went over to Giant this evening and the lot was packed with cars, there was absolutely NO meat in the meat isle, the bread was gone, milk was almost gone, and there were NO EGGS. The snow outside is weighing down some of the wussier trees and they are leaning/breaking and blocking the roads. And now it's all icing up for the evening. Madness.
In other news, I was flipping through the Sunday paper inserts and saw Target's store ad. They pictured the Bioshock 2 Limited Edition in their ad for release day so now I'm wondering if I get my lazy butt out of bed early tomorrow if I might be able to snag one before I go to work. And, if we have a delay, I could even get a couple hours in before leaving. That would be awesome. I'm trying not to get too excited though. I couldn't even get through to Target this evening, I called them 3 times and no one answered. Hopefully they are open. Guess I'll figure it out pretty quick when I head over tomorrow.
So, yeah, I've been keeping busy by playing lots of Mass Effect 2 and then we've been watching Rifftrax.
Looks like we'll have a delay tomorrow...but we don't know how delayed it will be. I'm AM shift tomorrow though so I win no matter what hehe. Snow isn't supposed to start until tomorrow night so I should be home safe and sound before Blizzard 2010 2.0 starts up.
