yet another snow day off

Just spent the past hour or so messing with my journal layout. needed a new look for the new year. orangerful now with 100% more Kahlan!

In the WTF category, Google Chrome appears to have LOST all my icon making bookmarks!!!! GRRRR! I think I'm gonna switch back to Firefox as my default browser. Chrome just has too many bumps in it. Now I'm hoping I can recover any new bookmarks and import them into the newest version of Firefox.

It's finally stopped snowing here in Maryland. And there's sunshine too! Might actually have to work 1 whole day this week! We're going out to dinner with Amy & Joe tonight to just get out of the apartment.

I've got this weird cough right now. It's kind of annoying - I don't feel that bad. Like, I don't feel the need to curl up in bed and fall asleep for the whole day. Just a bit groggy. And coughy. Though the cough does nothing. AD bought me some meds but they didn't do a whole lot either. I think it's such a lame cold, the medicine has nothing to work with.

I'm going for the "Most Spoiled" award for 2010...

Amy was trying to get us to come out to dinner tonight. She claimed she had "cabin fever" and was craving oysters and we should all meet up at the Anne Arundel Seafood Co. down the street from their house.

We get there, and for some odd reason, Amy is holding a large box. I'm like 'wtf?' (mostly because I'm on meds for this stupid cough and my brain is slowed by the muscous). She gives me the box and tells me to unwrap it.

So open it up...there's sheet music to The Beatles "Drive My Car" inside...then some paper...then old library books...wtf???...then MORE sheet music...another random book...finally a folder...hm...I open up the folder and their a picture of people milling around outside and it says "Haven't you always wanted to visit the Grand Canyon?" and now I'm really like ????? but then I lift up the photo and see the REAL surprise underneath.
