open letter

Dear Game of Thrones,

We've been together now for a season. Oh and what a season it's been. I mean, at first, when I heard about you, I wasn't really interested. I didn't think you were my type. Plus, being on HBO, I was worried all you would want to do was have sex. But then I got to know you and saw the amazing story you had to tell with the rich cast of characters played by some amazing actors. I tried to resist your charms, but I find myself wanting to spend more time with you.

I've missed you. I'm excited about seeing you again but, I have to say, I'm a bit leery. That first season together, well, things can be so much easier. Everything is so new and different, every episode gave me another piece of the puzzle. But I've been with other shows and I've felt like this before. Walking Dead...True Blood...oh we had a great first year but something happened that second year. I think the press went to their heads and instead of staying true to our love, they believed the hype and abandoned quality for something else.

Please, Game of Thrones...please don't hurt me like that. I want our second season together to be just as exciting and mysterious. Please don't give in to the hype.
