surprise mail from friends + little things that made me smile

OMG LOOK WHAT WAS IN MY MAILBOX TODAY!

My BFF heiland_coo sent this to me, totally brightened up my Monday (though it is pretty damn bright here in Maryland today, 88 degrees and SUNNY!)

Also, I went to the store after work to pick up some charcoal so I could grill tonight and when I was checking out, the clerk told me that they all loved my R2-D2 purse and it comes up all the time in conversation. I'm a celebrity in Pasadena LOL!

I need to write that gag review for ThinkGeek, telling them how *dangerous* this purse is because people yell at you from across the store to tell you how awesome it is. LOL.

Don't worry, my Mom did not pay that much for it! I sent her the link when it was on sale and hinted that I thought it was awesome and wish I had one. :)

Friend in need!

My good friend jellibean is back on livejournal after a long hiatus. As many of us know, coming back and dusting off the ol' LJ can be hard when your friends list isn't as active as it used to be. So I asked her if it was okay to encourage random friending and she was up for it!

She is an awesome lady, has done lots of cosplay and cons, she is into Star Wars and video games and she is a planner fiend (dontjudgeme - you would appreciate her skills) and she has a background in law stuff phenomenal, you guys could probably have some good convos). She is married to an awesome guy so you will *probably* have to hear about that a little bit, but they are so adorable, going to conventions together and such.
