Cable and I just had a showdown, and I lost. Earlier this evening I was flipping through and 'Last of the Mohicans' was on. I was like "Sweet!" and settled in to watch. But for some reason, all of our upper premium channels are not coming in right. They are flickering and have obvious signal problems. I flipped to the next channel up, the west coast channel, and it looked fine, so I decided I would wait it out and watch the movie from 11pm-1am. Well....I get all settled at 11pm...and now that channel is wonky!!!!!! WHY GOD WHY!!!! So, after staring at a flickering channel for 15 minutes, I've put 'Last of the Mohicans' in my netflix cue and bumped it up to the #1 spot. And as I just sent 'Curb your Enthusiasm" back today, I should have 'Mohicans' by wednesday.

I have fond memories of that movie, though I haven't seen it since high school. Senior year, for some reason TNT decided to run it...ALOT. So I remember just watching it every day for a week. Then I downloaded the soundtrack and Vincent and his friend would crank it up and run around downstairs playing. Good times. Hopefully, the movie will live up to my memories.

What a day. I took the kids to the pool. We were there from noon until 2:30, and we were in the pool pretty much the hold dang time. I did remember to re-apply this time though, so I'm not burnt anymore than before! My Jedi towel served me well. Then, on my way home, traffic was all backed up on 665, so I took a short cut (I just turned right and prayed I'd find my way out of Annapolis faster than sitting in the line of cars). Anyway, the short cut made me magically appear in front of the Burger King on West Street! So I ran in and low-and-behold they had the final wave of Star Wars toys. So I have them all now - all 31 toys! Freakin' sweet!

Tomorrow I work 2-6 at Provinces - but not my regular position behind the info desk. Oh no, tomorrow I will join the likes of [livejournal.com profile] destertale and [livejournal.com profile] blu_harvest and run the circulation desk! Madness! I'm not even sure I know how! Well, I'm pretty sure the other PTH there with me will be a circ regular so no disasters should occur.

Well, what the heck am I gonna do with myself now? I thought I would be snuggled up on the couch watching a french and indian war re-inactment....but nooooooo. *sigh*

I just watched my first ever episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Very strange show, but not as bad as I expected.

See, they have reasonable characters to balance out the crazy ones who get angry at Larry for the misunderstandings, so it's not as abrasive as, say, Seinfeld...

The other desk. =)

well, tomorrow was today actually, I'll be heading over to PRO in about 2 hours hehe. I was trying to remember all the stuff I have to do - check record for fines, check in items, check CD and DVD cases, desensitize CD and DVD cases...oy, you guys sure do keep busy!

yeah, I was afraid of that show, always seemed like a lot of yelling. Then AD started watching it and I'd wander over and sit down and it was just painfully funny.

'Strangers In Paradise' is in for me, I'll be starting that on Thursday. Finished 'Lenore:Noogies' last night. Odd little collection. I really do like the artists style, I'm just not used to reading the little vignettes, I keep waiting for a storyline to start.

Ooops. Yeah, I know what day of the week it is, really I do... =P Seriously, I'm lucky if I know the month sometimes!

I'd still say call me if you have any questions, but our Circ Staff is doing the meeting thing from 2-4, so you'd only be able to reach more PTH's on the desk here at CRO, then! So if you have a problem come up that you'd need to call for help on, just make sure it's from 4-5. ;) hee!

That movie is so great, though I wish we could've seen more of the little sister's almost-romance. :( My Daddy just let me burn a copy of the soundtrack but I haven't listened to it, yet, because I have to be in the right frame of mind for it. So, so sad!

Congratulations on getting all the BK toys! :D

I have the soundtrack on my computer, took the CD outta the library. Haven't listened to it yet, though I'm sure as I watch the movie, I'll want to crank it as I remember being in love with it right after I watched.
