Yet another beautiful day outside! And I am inside the library. Ah well, we're driving over to my parents after I get outta here so perhaps I can convince [livejournal.com profile] jimithingy to go topless...erm, drive with the top down!

Before we go to my folks though, we gotta stop by Kinkos, as in my brilliant wisdom, I didn't save my dad's father's day gift file in a printable size. It prints, but the fonts are all fuzzy. I think I had it set to my icon making standards, and since I never print anything I make, it totally slipped my mind to even check. Until I printed out a copy here at work and was not happy with how it looked at all. Luckily, I still have the PSD file on my computer, so I should be able to fix it...I think.

Upstairs at the library is pretty quiet, but downstairs in the kids section it's a whole different story, since they are all outta school now and the summer reading program has started. Everyone is looking for books on their reading lists and signing up for SRP. I was just down there 30 minutes ago, and in 30 more minutes, I'll be back down there. So wacky! I don't mind though, keeps me from getting bored and writing long entries in my....oh wait...

Going to see "Lady Windermere's Fan" tomorrow evening at the Shakespeare Theater downtown with [livejournal.com profile] jimithingy's mom. We're going out to dinner before hand at Jaleo! which will be very yummy. And hopefully I'll get the intermission Shakespeare gingerbread cookie too! It's so fun, you order the cookie and drink when you arrive, then when the play lets out for intermission, there's a little snack waiting for you.

ho-hum, time to go downstairs!

I need to make a library icon to use when posting from work.

I'm so jealous that you're having weather that permits leaving the top down. Right now, if any of us locals tried that, we'd be 'deep-fried', as AotC Anakin would say. ;D

I've been to the Shakespeare Museum down in D.C. That's not attached, is it?

Well, after that lovely weather yesterday, it's gone all cloudy today...Not sure what the sky is planning to do up there *pokes sky*

Actually, the theater used to be in the museum a few years ago, but then they got too big for it and bought a new space downtown. I haven't been to the museum in 6 years now, not since Shakespeare's big 100th birthday party. That was fun. They just let you wander the building and they had random displays up and people who were dressed up. And I bought a little beany Shakespeare doll who went with my to my Shakespeare class the next year! haha.

Well, that's still better than what we have here... blistering sun! o.O

I can barely remember the museum, and I think we only stayed for a short time before visiting a library, but I remember being there. (We went to D.C. for a big family reunion with my Dad who has a cousin that lives in Rockville. I feel in love with all the green there.) Yay for beanie Shakespeare! My daddy would be tickled pink over that! I'll have to tell him! :D

Hello, how's everything?
I was thinking... the guy dancing in your icon (http://www.livejournal.com/userpic/14403042/377427), is Harrison Ford? In that hottie Han outfit?

haha, no that's not Harrison - that's David Boreanaz (Angel). Though now that you mention it...there is a resemblance...explains why I probably think he's a hottie too!

Really? That's crazy! :D Yeah, my Dad grew up in that area. I can't remember if he was born in Chevy Chase, or if he just lived there as a child. But, I remember that one of the bridges out there was designed by one of my ancestors. (That's what my Daddy does out here, now.) Oh, and either my great, or my great-great grandfather helped design the dome of the capital. Neat, huh? (He was even mentioned in some book that was written for its bi-centennial.) :D Yet another connection we have! :D

David has such a great laugh/smile, too bad he hardly ever gets to use it on Angel.

Thanks for the icon love. I was really happy with how it turned out. It was an entry for [livejournal.com profile] sw_challenge
