chapter 8!!

I seem to be the slowest reader of my friends -- destertale, blu_harvest, and jellibean have all finished HBP and we bought it on the same day! *sigh* I'm a bad fangirl.

I was trying to be a good little icon maker last night, I had photoshop all open and I was working on my icon for sw_challenge (which everyone should go join and enter because there are tons of caps to work with this week and the theme is love but spitefairy is the queen of slash and has pics of Ani/Obi, Ani/Mace, Darth/Boba, and other hilarous pairings.) Anyway, while I'm doing this I'm checking my LJ like a little icon addict, looking for a picture that I asked about at starwarsicons of Ewan McGregor being all sexy-like. Someone posted a pic that was pretty close, so I decided to go browse the site that they had uploaded it from. Well, this site was EVIL!!!! I was there for a nano-second and it installed SPYWARE all over my computer!!!! So I had to shut everything down. jimithingy had a presentation to give this morning so he couldn't stay up late trying to fix it. BLARGH! It's an evil thing. jimithingy said he'd work on it when he got home from class today, I have not heard from him since. He said he would install Firefox, which shouldn't be as stupid as IE and install crap without asking. *stabs IE*.

Yeah, so I think I'm gonna read some more HBP...it's funny to watch the patrons drool over my copy. Honestly, just go buy it if you want it that bad! haha.

EDIT: jimithingy says that all hope is lost and he will have to re-install windows. *cries* I dunno how I'm going to back up all my stuff...i have so much random crap that I don't want to lose, that might not even be available anymore. MAKES ME SO MAD! and depressed. *cries more*

My husband finished it a couple days ago! He said it was the best so far (he says that everytime). Me, I'm still on Goblet of Fire. *hides head in shame*

geez, your hubby reads FAST! And you need to get on the ball because I'm sure he's bursting with spoilers! haha. I'll just have to remember to hide all of mine under an LJ cut. hehe

I'm sorry about your computer. I hope you can manage to save some stuff or figure out another way to get rid of the spyware. I can certainly sympathize.

I came home and saved everything and AD has re-installed most of it. I'm trying out firefox right now, which is a wee bit different than IE, lots of "are you sure?" boxes. But at least I'm back!

Sorry about your computer! :( My hard drive died (or something) a few years ago.. I was lucky though and was able to burn everything onto CDs.

One of my friends finished HBP at 6.30 am on Saturday morning. I was afraid to bring it to work b/c I thought someone w/kids would come in and they'd try to take it from me. I actually started to feel bad though b/c I would get mad when people came in cause they ruined my Harry Potter time. ^_^;

holy moly - Saturday morning! that's dedication!

Yeah, I was a bit wary of leaving my book alone at the desk, especially after one mom told me it was sold out at a few stores in the area. Sounds like they stocked enough for the weekend rush.

Looks like I'm back up and running - Adrian managed to re-install most of it last night. yay!
