RUN!

Just got back from a sneak preview of 'The Island' thanks to Alex. It was a good summer movie. Lots of action and pretty people. The blowing up stuff got a little silly in the middle and the product placement had me giggling (Xbox and Aquafina RULE YOU!). But, honestly, how can you dislike a movie that lets you stare at two insanely beautiful people for 2 hours? Dump every "utopia gone dystopia" movie you've seen in the past 30 years, blend, and pour. Add explosions. Lots and LOTS of explosions. We're talking the "how not to be seen" Monty Python-esque amount of explosions.

It was fun, but don't pay $10 to see it, catch a matinee, as it will be far more fun on the big screen that the little one. Plus, Ewan and Scarlett are so hot. And any movie that has Steve Buscemi makes me smile. I don't know why, but I love that guy.

I finally did some of my core reference! Yes, I have an ear infection yet again, and instead of going to the doctor, I went to the library and did core reference! How stupid am I? Well, the thing is, I need a new doctor. I am sick of driving 30 minutes to my old doctor's office. Plus, my car has no air conditioning, and it was 100 degrees today, so I decided I'd rather work on core ref than drive around and attempt to find another doctor close by that takes my insurance. Insurance, I might add, that my mom pointed out is very temporary and I might want to look into getting my own. Any reccomendations ? Who's affordable yet reliable? *sigh* Anyway, doesn't matter now as I work ALL day tomorrow and have absolutlely no time to go to a doctor until Monday anyhow. *pops pain killers*

I went by the comic shop on the way home but they were sold out of Serenity already. I figure that since there are 3 different covers, all the collectors bought 3 copies, leaving none for me. I just want Kaylee or River. They were my favorite of the covers I've seen.

I'm on Chapter 12 in HBP! I'm so slow. And easily distracted. I only read when I'm going to bed and on break at work. I'm working tomorrow and then babysitting after that, which I'm not overly thrilled about since my ear has been bugging me. Gotta remember to pack pills. The plan is to just veg out once I'm there. I had wanted to get my cartoon network clone wars back from my co-worker, but I forgot. And I was shy, I would have had to have CALLED him to ask for it back. Pshhht, whatever! So I just placed a hold on a library copy. They will pull it for me tomorrow morning and have it waiting while I'm working. Ridikurus!

off to read a bit then get some sleep for my LONG day ahead. TTFN

The covers for issue 1 were Mal, Jayne, and Inara.

I sincerely hope issue 2 hasn't come out yet. Issue 1 came out last week, and I didn't see issue 2 this week. *EEK*

Issue 2 is not out yet. I was so flustered that I missed issue one, I had the guy look up the issue 2 date. He said it was supposed to be out Aug 3rd. I have a few more shops to search before I start panicing.

for insurance, check out the carefirst blue cross/blue shield website, you can read about their different plans. i've heard that the personal comp plan is good for people like us, who are generally healthy, but read the details first :)

I adore him! And especially ever since I found out that he used to be a voluteer fireman. Squee! :D

you're probably the only person I'm ahead of in my reading hehe. It's really good though. I actually gasped aloud last night while reading (which made Adrian crack up).

Yeah, I made an appointment for tomorrow, since I have the day off. Figured if I was gonna have to get up early, I didn't want to do it on day when I had anywhere else to go (especially a day when I would have to work with the public for 8 hours...not a good time to be tired haha). Hopefully they can give me magic drugs to fix it all (and I'm hoping for ones that don't give me a rash like last time!!!)
