weird and painful
Aug. 5th, 2005 11:40 pmGod Of War - a game so intense the knuckles in your toes will pop out of joint! Well, if you're me they will.
No joke, I was fighting all these baddies in a room with shooting fire and harpies attempting to both scratch me and dive bomb me while they were on fire and suddenly, I get this really bad pain in my foot! (I was lying on my side at the time). So I sit up and look at my toes and the two next to the big toe just do no look right, they are smooshed together and I can feel the muscles or whatever is around them, all tighten up! Freaked me out. It went away after awhile. It also made my headache dissappear! Weirdness.
I read the first Transmetropolitan book last night.
vertigozooropa had reccomended it and
blu_harvest had also given it a thumbs up, so I knew it had to be good. I really liked it. Such a different story, different set up. Spider Jerusalem is just a interesting character - this very cynical and uncaring guy but at the same time very fascinating. I've ordered the next 3 books from the library, hopefully they will show up when I get back from Maine. Now I'm starting on The Watchmen, which
dstntp1lgr1m had reccomended.
I still have not packed for Maine yet. I figured out some more details today though -- after the lobster bake on Thursday I'm going to ride back to Boston with Becky! She even wants me to bring my Firefly DVDs! Yay! Perhaps I can create another Browncoat for the cause. So we get to spend Friday together goofing off, which should be fun FUN! I'm already plotting to go back up to Boston when the Museum of Science gets the Star Wars exhibit, so I'll just have this be a mini-trip. Yessss, excellent.
I love going to Maine. My grandparents have this great big house, with a huge yard. There's lots of little rooms and old things lying around. I adore that house. I wish I could keep it forever. Of course, it's so old it doesn't have air conditioning...so that can cause heat issues. Plus, most of my mom's family lives up there, so it's always a crazy party. Don't worry, I'll take lots of pictures so you can experience the lobster bake with me! haha.
I'm writing down everyone's icon request and what interests I'll focus on so I can take a notepad with me in the car to sketch ideas.
whitemartyr, I am so sorry I forgot about your Buffy request! I think it must have gotten buried in the post! I know it was for season 7, Chosen...something to do with Buffy....argh! I'll have to go through my old posts to find it. But I will! Cuz I know I said I'd do it!
It has been hot and gross here today. We had a little thunder storm this evening that sounded like it was right on top of us. Didn't lose power though, that was nice. Maybe it will cool things down tomorrow. I hate arriving at work with a soggy back. Some day, I will have a car with AC!

Date: 2005-08-06 06:13 pm (UTC)I'm big on Sims 2, that's my calm game. Except for when I had the old guy die right when the baby was born and the private school principal showed up to see if my kids were qualified. That didn't go well.

Date: 2005-08-06 06:04 am (UTC)It was from Chosen, yes. If you could get a couple flips from Buffy falling down, saying 'I want you to get out of my face' followed by her getting up and swooping the vampires off the cliff with the scythe. Something like that...be creative though. :) I like your creativity.

I can't even imagine a car without A/C. Here, that could mean certain death, and I'm not kidding. We have occurences where children or pets get left, most of the time accidentally, and they die from exposure. ;_;
