childhood flashbacks

So I was gonna be good and try to read a "grown up" book next, since I've been in graphic novel land forever. I took Transmetropolitan back today after finishing up book 7. I tried to read the first few pages of Everything Bad is good for you while I was on break. Then, while out on the floor, I noticed a new book on the display shelf in the young adult section : BtVS: Keep Me In Mind. I pick it up because the cover art intrigued me, I love the comic stuff, and I flip it open and do you know what it is??? It's a Buffy Choose Your Own Adventure!!!!! So I had to check that out.

omgchooseyourownadventure! I used to do those ALL THE TIME. I was a cheater too.. I'd read it through once and then go back and choose the happy ending. ^_^

I want to read Everything Bad is Good for You... maybe I should order it so I can get some mail. ^_^

haha, yeah, I usually made the lame decisions first so I'd get the really lame ending of "you go home and watch TV, the end" and then I'd have to go back and choose the "scary" choice.

I only checked out Everything Bad is Good For You because it was mentioned on Attack of the Show, so I have no idea if it's any good or not hehe. I'm just hoping it will make me feel good about playing all these video games all day long haha.

hahhaha, balloon to the Sahara...I actually remember putting that one on the shelf back in my paging days at maryland city. I don't know why those books went away, they were a great series. :(

The buffy one is pretty amusing, though I haven't gotten far enough into it yet for any fight decisions. Though there are two different stories going on, because I've seen the "if you're saving so-and-so, turn to this page", or "if you're on a mission to find the mummy turn to this page". I'll let you know when I'm further into it (though I was distracted last night because I checked out "Make Love The Bruce Campbell Way" and I had to read at least one chapter of that gem!)
